I agree about archives, a sore loss. It's ironic that now I have a little more disposable income, GW takes away archives! If I had only known 15 years ago the course of events for epic, I would have bought TONS of minis back then. Now the prices on ebay are ridiculous for some of the things I would love to buy from archives. Let's all pray to the gaming gods that GW decides to reinstate archives.
I just don't understand why GW thinks it's a good idea to develop rules for a game that will never be sold retail and for which they will more than likely never produce all the required/desired minis. I will be surprised if they release any more minis after feral Orks.

Quote (primarch @ 26 2005 May,23:30) | Hi!
sigh...the epic archive...
..I was glad to partake of it while it lasted..
..hope it returns someday....
Primarch | Amen. Amen. Amen.
When I 'returned to the epic fold' (so to speak) after a long absence, I started to get quite a few goodies from there (thugh not as many as some of you!). However, I am still yet to buy a single new blister from the EpicA range.
The return of the Archive could only be a good thing - maybe under the new GW economic climate we could partition again???

Where I found the archive really came into its own was with those infrequent ebay 'bargains' where the minis are incomplete (and thus you get them cheap). You could then go and get yourself that left CI sponson or whatever. Or get then 1 single mini to make your det complete
Not that there seem to be many Ebay bargains these days...

Amen to that dafrca. That's why I check almost everyday to see if something new comes up that is on my wish list.
The one thing I did notice about archives was that sometimes the prices are better than buying the updated version of a mini. I also find it ironic that the latest reaver, phantom and warlock titans are reruns of the originals.

Hi!
Actually I think, slowly bargain are coming back to e-bay. Lots of auctions with those ridiculous are not being bid on, do I think the "boom time" is past and prices will come down.

Hi!
Indeed!
Prices will go down as they always do. With the lack of any real support epic will slide back into obscurity and prices for epic will go down. Its a well known cycle.

Hell, I'm having a hard enough time trying to get all the new E:A Eldar stuff ! Only the Emporer knows when I'll get my hands on the Feral Orks stuff, that release date changes like ... like a woman's mind ... frequently and for no disernable reason !

They pushed back the availability date on the newer eldar vehicles on GWUS to June the second (from May 26th originally), I hope they deliver this time....

And when they go down, the Primarch and his minions, the Apprentice Primarchs, will be waiting to assimulate them into the horde. ?
OK, I need to get out more. ?
