Hi all, what with Spelljammer, Aeronef, Star Wars and my Pegaso knight, I've been drifting away from GW stuff more than I have in the past 11 years.... I'm also ignoring WH and 40K tourneys too, and am building models for the fun of it, rather than trying to get stuff ready for a tourney deadline. I have enough deadlines as it is.....
More to the point: my beloved AT-AT has a pair of Snowspeeders and laser turrets accompanying it. They look like they're 6mm, but I'm not convinced. So - what size is a 6mm Snowspeeder (or an AT-AT, come to think of it!)?

Hmmm... Just a wild guess. Judging from Empire Strikes back I''d say the snow speeders would be somewhere between 4-8 m long They look very crammed and just big enough to house 2 pilots. I guess that would make them between 1.5- 3 cm long in 6mm. Maybe they could be 10mm?
Cheers!

Hmmm - mine is 35mm long. Could be either, I'd say.

Warning....every AT-AT/snowspeeder combo I have seen has placed them horribly out of scale with each other. Take your pick...either the snowspeeder is way too big, or the AT-AT is way too small.

Sounds like yours is closer than any I have seen...and that has to be a typo from the databank.

I'm using AMT/ERTL Snow Speeders as Exodite Falcons (don't know why ... cause I got'em, I guess) ! ?And ?M/M Sail Barges as Exodite Wave Serpents ! ?I'm using AMT AT-ATs as CIs "count as" ! ?And M/M's AT-AT & AT-STs as Knights ... cause I can !

Gulp - what size AT-ATs? Mine would tower easily over an Imperator!

The ones from the AMT Hoth set are about the size of a CI w/legs ! The M/M's are about the size of a Knight ... of course !

Hi all, whatever the scale, the first of my pair of Speeders is ready. Not official SW colours, but my more colourful (sorry L4) interpretation.

The base is a standard GW round base, so it gives an idea of the size.

"Is that an AT-AT? I have a strange feeling about this..."
"Trust the force, Luke ? "
Er - sorry for the blur, but those Snowspeeders ARE fast...
EDIT - thanks Primarch!
