I'm really looking forward to seeing that article - your war altar looks sweet!
I'm curious where the 'tentacles' came from - my guess is they're from an
old-school 40k Beast of Nurgle (aka "The Broccoli-headed Beast")

Indeed they are-I originally Mail Ordered them along with a load of other Nurgle bits to use on an (as yet unfinished) 40k Landraider conversion.
I didn't really like the bit that much then, so don't use it, but it seemed perfect for this Epic piece!
