Hi All,
I need some advice. I am trading with a friend for some new epic stuff that a friend gave me in the new year.
I had already traded away my collection so their is no point in my keeping the new stuff.
I want to make sure the new trade is fair and that I am not being greedy, but, I have been away from epic for a while so I do not know the value of the items.
Here is a list of items, any guidence as to what the batch would be worth in USD would be appreciated.
All units are epic40k variety.
The first column is the number of blisters, the second column is the number of units in an individual blister and the final column is what the unit is.
Ork Forces 17 full sprues of ork infantry (the sprue with the stompa on it)
6 4 War Buggies (24 buggies total) 6 4 War Tracks (24 tracks total) 2 5 Big Guns (10 big guns) 8 2 Weirdboy Wagons (16 wagons) 4 2 Squiggoths (8 squiggoths) 6 2 Mekboy Speedstas (12 speedsta's) 4 1 Battle fortresses (4 fortresses) 6 3 Scorches (18 scorches) 4 3 Flakwagons (12 Flakwagons) 2 5 Pulsa Rockets (10 pulsa rockets) 4 4 Dreadnoughts (16 Dreadnoughts)
Thats 52 unopened blisters of ork vehicles and 17 sprues of infantry.
Space Marines Blisters 4 3 Razorbacks (12 Razorbacks) 5 4 Land Speeders (20 Land Speeders) 1 opened blister in a baggy of attack bikes
Painted Space Marine Vehicles painted like space wolves (multi-layer drybrushing highlighted with black and silver)
Attack Bikes 37 Land Speeders 12 Plastic Rhinos 24 Plastic Whirlwinds 10 Razonbacks 12 Preditors 24 Metal Land Raiders 16 Plastic Land Raiders 12
(looks like 6 plastic vehicle sprues where used and about 25 blisters or so of painted metal in total)
There are what looks to be 10 sprues of painted space marine infantry.
Also, there are three titans, two warhounds and 1 reaver. They are just base coated.
So the total is 120 blisters/sprues with half painted to a very good quality, as well as three titans.
Also included would be the epic 40k rule pack that fanatic produced for a little while when they just started up.
So guys, what value do you think would be a fair trade value?
best regards
Dalton

For whatever its worth I just bought a similar size lot of e40k ork and tyranid blisters and sprues from someone in the UK for roughly $7 USD per pack and $5 USD per infantry sprue.
Mind, I think I got a deal on the sprues but...
Hope that helps a little. ~H

That is around what I was thinking, except, the space marines are painted (looks like 4 or 5 layers of drybrushing).
I can post pictures if anyone is curious. The net result that, not counting the painted units or the titans, the final result would be around $600 to $740 USD. (5 dollars a unit to 7 dollars a unit)
Does anyone know what good painted space marine armies go for?
best regards
Dalton

Well I spent US$127 on an Ultramarines force that is almost 3,000 points:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 5951855243
Looks nicely painted but I am waiting for it to arrive in post so that I can see what it looks like in flesh.
Normally painted stuff on ebay goes for a bit less than the completely mint figures. Unless the paint job is really good. Fullpy painted units go for proprtionally more than fully painted armies. I gues most bidders can afford to shell out for nicely painted unit but not shell out in one go for complete army.
Cheers
James

James | Hi James,
$127 USD.
From the one picture that came up, it looks like 17 vehicles and about 38 stands of infantry (counting the bikes as infantry). That strikes me to be about 6 blisters of vehicles and 3 sprues of infantry.
That works out to be about $14 USD an item. That would price out the painted units at 41 units (painted sprues and blisters) to be $574 USD.
This is getting pricy just going by what you guys are currently spending on ebay and other trades.
(Maksim really got alot for his mega-trade, good for him, he will use it and perhaps get others into the game)
best regards
Dalton

I would advise breaking it up and selling it on ebay...otherwise you will probably be waiting awile for someone to take the whole lot off your hands. Although you may get lucky and find the right buyer at the right time. As for that, good luck to you!

Hi Dalton,
Looking over the list, I'd say it's worth a couple hundred. I'd say probably around three or four hundred US dollars.
Of course, I'm very often overly generous and I know that a good seller like you, Dalton, can always persuade me to give more.
And yes, I'm happy with the MEGA-trade. Only one more Hirst Arts order and I'm paid off!
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. | Yea, well, US currency never was my unit of trade, I was thinking of bartering enough BoFA stuff that the trolls at mail order have a small fit....
But, after the last run with Cdn Mail order (they shipped to the wrong house, shipped again and delivered to the wrong house) I am trying to find a third party who carries the stuff I want and gives a decent discount.
Right now, I am getting highly enamored to Mongoose Publishings Mini's. They are a good price for a good quality product - and Andy Chambers is their game designer.
I just need to find a supplier in my area who carries the product.
best regards
Dalton
