Hi,

Olaha-Tzeentch... very nice Vanvlak. :D

On the painting front, I've got quite a lot done today on my Blood Axes. Finished the grotz, painted all the bases ready for sanding and finished all of the battlewagons. If I can be bothered to sand them tonight, the warband will be complete, if not then I'll do it tomorrow.

Cheers,
Freshmetal

Excellent work all round....

I've just got back from Sheffield, from what should be my last uni interview- 8 hours on the train is fun.... :p

The interview went well though, and I met up with Chris, who showed me the 'sights' and took me to Wargames Emporium, where I bought 20 old WDs and an old Tyranid Epic blister- the highlight of the visit to be sure... :;):  hehe....

I wish we had shops like that up here. Meaning shops selling old gaming material. Someone tried once but the gaming community is so small it wasn't profitable. Maybe a webshop would do better.  :{

As it is I'm a frequent customer of Nobleknight despite of the shipping costs. But I don't really have any choice.  :blues:

Horror. With vampires. And some good storyline.
Does this answer your question, Vanvlak?

Hi,

finished basing my Blood Axes this afternoon and managed to get a few photos.

Big Blood Axe Warband
In action...

And with a little bit of WarmasterN-inspired Photoshop work...

Speed Freeks attack

I had to use my old digital camera, so the photos aren't exactly great, but they're good enough for right now. I shall get some better photos when I get hold of my other camera and have more units to take pictures of.

As you can see, the battlewagons are painted, but not complete. I need to fill the Boyz wagons with something (Boyz, Kommandos) and decide what to do with the Nobz wagons (Banners, Orky-symbols). Any thoughts are welcome. Oh, and I need to put a BA symbol on the standard bearer.

I took some photos of my Crimson Fists, but they were out of focus, so I'll get some more later too.

Cheers,
Freshmetal

[Nice RT WMN.
Green colur scheme looks great for units that would be way behind front line and thus would n't need camo.

Yup. Also I think it has a nice WWII US army feel to it which ties in nicely with the idea that 40k IG is WWII style tactics with futuristic weapons.

I actually prefer the Manticore Mk2 and Bassie Mk2 to either their AT Mk1 or E40k Mk3 counterparts.

You Heretic! :D :p :;):

Cheers! :)

Hi WMN

Talk about delayed reactions- I have just noticed that you have clipped off the funny spiked ball shaped thing off the top of the old Mk1 Manticores. When I first looked at your picture something was bugging me about it, but I could n't put my finger on it, so had to go back for a second look. And even then went to Solegends website just to make sure.

It looks really good without that spiked ball- I always hated that ball but never had the imagination to wonder what the figure would look like if it was taken off. I now look at the model with new eyes.....

Thanks!!

I may have to copy that idea for Manticore Mk1 and yours/Tuff's colour scheme at some point in the future.

Cheers

James
