I just got home and am abundantly happy to be at home and away from mass transportation! :D

Now I just have to worry about mass tabulation of figures from the MEGA-trade.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Funny how such a great buy can also become a large amount of work.  :;):

You know I would love to help if I could.

I'm breeding bunny boxers with celestial beings...

The Japanese are crazy to even invent such a thing...

And I'm probably even crazier for enjoying it so much.

Seriously, I organized some of the Mega-trade today, went out for lunch with a colleague and his wife and made it by school to do some lesson planning so I wasn't completely lazy...

Although I'm entitled to be since I am on vacation.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

*** How are you attacking the boxes? ?***

- I would stay away from the Orcs and Marines until the Eldar (mostly in two boxes) are sorted.

- I would probably attack the inventory of Nids and Squats then attack chaos.

*** Have you sorted out the terrain? ?***

- It has been used alot over the years and I was worried it would not survive the shipping.

Best regards,
Dalton.

Hi Dalton,

How are you attacking the boxes?

- I'm carefully emptying all the boxes into a temporary plastic?bin to make sure that no bitz go left unnoticed. I'm very careful to open boxes up looking for small pieces that have wedged themselves under the box falps and the like.

- Then I'm sorting those bitz into plastic shoe boxes (from the Dollar Store) and collecting larger broken pieces into plastic snack sandwich bags (also from the Dollar store).

I would stay away from the Orcs and Marines until the Eldar (mostly in two boxes) are sorted.
I would probably attack the inventory of Nids and Squats then attack chaos.

- I'm not really working in any order yet - simply sorting into piles and groups and making sure that nothing gets missed. A lot of models didn't survive the trip well and broke.

- The SM Thunderhawks are particularly bad. The wingtip bolters seem to have nearly all broken. I thing that only two bolters remained on the three T-hawks I have found so far.

Have you sorted out the terrain?

- I'm still in process.

It has been used alot over the years and I was worried it would not survive the shipping.

- You're right. Much of it didn't well survive the trip. However, I think that at least 99% of it is repairable in the workshops of Forgeworld Maximus Smelchakia!

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Dalton,

As a side note, I am setting up a meet with my friend who has my old Hirst Arts molds to get them for you.

I will be in touch.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

*** So, will you be able to incorporate the stuff we had with your own collection, or was the terrain different from yours? ***

--------
AGRIWORLD / CITADEL PLANET:

- We had the consistant theme of an agri world/old citadel world that was in ruin.

- The original concept was that the Orcs assaulted the world and by accident uncovered an ancient Slaan base that contained the proof that the Slaan gene-engineered the Orcs/Eldar from human stock.

- The roots of the Human/Eldar/Orc genome are on the planet scattered amongst hundreds of hidden ancient sites.

- The complete discovery would allow the Inquisition to find a way of suppresing the human ability to influence the warp - stopping the very things that create the chaos gods.

- The humans have been totally drafted as well as three full chapters of Space Marines.
- (I am summarising from our old notes - I was looking for the details of the Squat brotherhood "THRONGBADDEER" and the guild of "CROMDWELLER".)

- The net result was, a full Eldar invasion, a full chaos invasion, the existing PDF as well as the rushed in Adeptus Titanicus and Adeptus Mechanicus legions.
- To finish it off, the Nids invaded to get the precious gene seed so they are not on a feeding strike, but have a totally different need. ?
- The Squats came in full force in order to rescue the ancient knowledge from the idiot Inquisition and perhaps use it to save the home worlds.

- I am reading a Eldar scenario that Rob wrote - he called it Eldar hop-scotch. It brings back alot of good memories. Rob was good at scenario building.
--------

Oh well, I am enjoying my few days off and painting a few mini's that arrived from GW before Christmas. ?

Take care,
Dalton.

I think that most of your terrain will blend in fine with my agri-world terrain set.

I'll probably have to blend a little flock, but it's do-able.

The blue complex building is going to require some repair.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

:oo ?:D

The blue complex building was never finished...
- I threw it in as a "possible use" piece.

If you can finish it, I will let Peter know and he will have a good laugh.

Best regards,
Dalton.

Not yet, I am thinking they will be light because of the issues I had last year. I will keep them down to a minimum and keep them focused. Not so general, like the old "Be Nicer" etc.
