Monoliths & Me!
Hi Dafrca,
I hope you do, I am looking forward to seeing the little undead come to "life" and become a reality. |
One of the big hold-ups right now is time and the steep learning curve while I figure out how to cast resin and what kinds of molds work for it.
I have the basic body shape for my Monolith "Necro-pyramid" worked out, but the body needs more detailing, which means mondo-scribing for me!
I also need to trade to get some plastic Scarabs from a 28mm Necron player. Of course, now that I have money, I can probably E-bay some, which would be a ton easier. It's hard to find trades.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

(1) Indicate how many you need. (2) I will see how many I can supply (e.g. don't expect hundreds - around 20 at most is my guess, but I have to check). (3) Send me your address. (4) Wait for postman. Wait some more - I live in Malta, you know. (5) Convert scarabs to - Destroyer bodies? That's it.

GAMES WITH THE GIRLFRIEND - Part 1:
I played a few games witht he girlfriend yesterday.
She is getting far too good at San Juan (the simplified version of Puerto Rico). I'm getting tired of the random component of that game killing me. There are a few powerful cards that practically win the game every time for the person lucky enought to receive them.
I also taught her how to play SJG's Illuminati, which is much better with three or more players, but she learned the system for next time we get a big game. She really liked the Trekkie card - the guy on that card is particularly nerdy.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

GAME REVIEWS FINALLY DONE:
I just finished writing one game review about the "Cuban Missile Crisis" game and am working on a second for "Downtown," a game about the strategic air war in Vietnam.
I have two more games on the bench to review:
- "Jassin" about combat in WWI Africa and... - "Ataturk" about the Turkish Revolution after WWI.
I'm planning to head over to my sister's place now with the G/F to play a few games and make crepes for breakfast though.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

2. Game #2: San Juan - Diana - Maksim - Maksim's sister: Winner
3. Game #3: Settlers of Canaan - Diana - Maksim: Winner - Maksim's sister
4. Game #4: Settlers of Canaan - Diana - Maksim: Winner - Maksim's sister - Maksim's mother
5. Harry Potter - Nintendo Gamecube ? - Maksim's sister beat the game. She is really good at quidditch.
6. Godzilla - Nintendo Gamecube - Maksim: I got to the last monster again ona dventure mode, but Mecha Godzilla is a tough nut to crack. The only attacks that seem to bother him are kicks, the tail and fireballs. - Maksim's nephew#1 Vincent: Played in numerous deathmatches with uncle and enjoyed the scrapping. - Maksim's nephew#2 Quinn: Played in numerous deathmatches with uncle and enjoyed the scrapping.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

MORE GAMES WITH THE GIRLFRIEND - Part 2:
I played a few games with the girlfriend before sending her home today.
Theophrastus (A game of alchemy) - She won.
Guillotine (A game of the French Revolution) - I won.
We also watched a rental movie: "Walking Tall" with the Rock. It was fun and silly.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
