Thanks. :)

Tas: I have some more pics  of the piece in my Yahoo Briefcase
http://uk.f1.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/bc.....view=l (the "Cityfight" pics)

The bigger section isn't A4 though. It is  getting chopped up into smaller pieces at the moment (like I said the piece is pretty inflexible and not that great for gaming.)
As for duarbility it is pretty stable. I use a mix of PVA glue, sand, to texture the stuff which gets almost as hard as concrete. This keeps everything in place pretty well. There is a few bits which keep breaking though. I guess it is hard to avoid.

Cheers! :)

Tks WMN -  those pics are pretty inspirational.  I think the larger piece is just excellent and similar to what I want to do, though your comment on it not being very playable is interesting. Any tips on how to overcome your problems?

One Qn- do you glue/sand all in one mix or a glue-add sand-more glue to seal-paint procedure?  I imagine a second glue mix would add greatly to durability, but does it add a slimy coat over all the rubble and sand?

Cheers! :)

Oh, this is just some old stuff which I''ve snapped a few pics of. Things aren't progressing THAT fast. ...And it will be even slower now since I've got a bunch of school projects and exams to finish before the end of this semester. :p

Tas: The problem with the big piece I've "solved" by removing the three main structures and fitted them into the A4 system. This should make them a bit more flexible. It does mean that you lose some of that "multi-level" effect but such a single large piece is just grows boring so fast. :(

I use a mixture of Sanding/glueing techniques. Sometimes I make a "paste" of pva glue, sand and water which is usefull for making slopes, filling gaps and such stuff.

I also simply cover an area with PVA and sand it normally. I use some pretty fine sand (From the wonderfull sunny beaches of Denmark :p ?...ahem, sorry about the hidden advertizing) which doesn't fall off. I imagine that a thin PVA/Water mix should keep everything in place without obscuring any detail.

I try not to mix the sand and seashells/gravel in the same "paste" since the sand will just cover everything and IMO ruin the effect a bit. It's better to do the texturing in several layers with drying time in between instead of just mixing everything up. This makes the piece more varied to look at.

Just remember that rules are there to be broken: I don't strictly follow these guidelines myself. In the end the result is achieved by 50% luck and 50% calculated experimenting.

Cheers! :)

It's been a while. I've been working on piecs for the Painting comp, BFG, and a bunch of other odds and ends.
I've done this new page which shows some WIP of some Cityfight terrain I'm working on.
http://www.mustangsalling.dk/terrain3.htm

(Edit: Whops! I've discovered an error on the page -I'll fix  it ASAP!)

I'll soon update various sections which will include Tallarn Demolishers, Vanquishers, my first finished BFG ships, and some Ork and Chaos stuff.

Cheers!  :)

Here's a few new pages/updates.
Marine Reserve Companies
And I updated the "Marine Flyers" section to also incluude the Drop Pod.
Birds

The page which should contain the battlecompanies (/marines2.htm) has still not been completed since I haven't quite finished the models for it. Sorry for the broken link.

I've also been working on some pages for some of the competition entries but for obvious reasons these have still not been aadded to the site yet.

...Oh, and my apologies to L4 for not having annything in proper tactical colours this time arround. :p :D :;):

Cheers! :)
