Okay... started this new threads as this topic spun from the "WHAT THE...?!??! " thread.
So... those who have got it ordered or recieved them... what did you get? So we can compare if it is indeed random or not.
The description when you order it on-line says it is 5 srips (typo intentional)
Normally one strip comes from one mould, so either GW has several different strips where some models are duplicated on different strips or they have unique models on each strip, but when they package it, they just throw a random of 5 strips.
Answers....?

The set that I got had no random elements at all, there is a commander strip, with 2 ad mech types, medic, commander, Librarian and banner, a 'sergeant' strip with termie captain, helmeted (and caped) sergeant, typical sarge and banner, oh and assault sarge, Librarian strip with assault, 2 typical and termie version, the Chaplain strip ditto. Also included is Librarian, Chaplain, sarge and banner bikes.
So there you go, random packs just wouldn't work with that sort of mix.

Does that mean you have the full collection of command models?
so the models on a strip is set... but when you order a pack, do they give you the same strips each time? Or the strips the randomness? or the rumours about things being random not true?

I've got 3 packs coming, so I hope to get at least one of each sprue out of the 3 packs ?!  But who knows ?

Sorry, maybe not quite clear the last post, as I got the full set of command figs, I really can't see how they could be split up (randomised) unless you get 2 sets of Librarians and none of Chaplains for example, my bet, based on what I got is that random is an untrue rumour.

Hope so ! I should have mine in a few days. The G/W US site shows the sprues, too ... looks like what you and others have described.

I have yet to see proof that they are random.
I think that they are a fixed set and the post that said it was random was an error.

Saw the French site has the IG-C pack as well. Looks like it could be a fun one to own.

I received my 2 SM Character packs today. They are pretty nice models (although I must admit having being spoiled by FW models recently), and definitely not random (same content in both packs).
I'll start some command stands for my Ultramarines after I'm done with my Eldar scouts (and Half Life 2 just came out).
