Ok, me is confoozed diot.
The CADIANS in this months WD are 'yanks' from the vietnam/korea era (exc. stormtroopers) and the cadians above are what?, new range or something?, they look like spaceballs!
Whats wrong with the old ones?
(My personal opinion, no doubt loads of folks will like the new ones, as winessed above!)

Yeah, personally I think the new Cadians are fantastic, though I do like the old style too- and another thing, I'm liking the Eavy Metal team's colour scheme a lot more than some of their other recent armies..

(My personal opinion, no doubt loads of folks will like the new ones, as winessed above!) | There's nothing wrong with the old ones other than they're metal making it very expensive to put together a decent force. The new designs are being done as they're a plastic kit. 20 Troops for ?15. (Released around june 20th BTW)
This is, IMHO the best thing thats happened for the IG in a LONG time. The current rambo's (sry, I mean catachan..) box is appalling but you do need huge numbers of troops - these guys fit the bill!

Tell me about it. The Catachan Rambos are simply horrible. I mean, those guys have bigger muscles than marines have; try stuffing one inside a Power Armor...
And the imaginative "SLY MARBO" guy in the Codex: Catachans simply makes me cry of despair.

All of G/W's IG have had a futuristic look, over the past 12 years. The Catachans, are clearly Rambo-like. The old IG and the old and new Cadians look something like modern NATO troops. The Korean/Vietnam analogy is a bit of a stretch for me. Being a "Yank" and having served in the US Army, I have a different prospective. The old Stormtroopers looked like UK Paras or Commandos, the new like modern Spec Ops Troops. I always thought a force in soft caps like Major Schaffer (or the German Afrika Korps) would have been very cool ! Valhallens look like WWII Eastern Front Troops. The Pretorians like the 24th Foot in the Zulu Wars. Well you get idea, I also like some of the GZG troopers, they have a futuristic look without being too goofy ... just my opinion

I agree with pretty much all of what you said, L4, I love the newer Storm troopers- some of GW's finest minis imo, they really give them the impression of being "a class above the rest" - best tech, armour, guns, etc...
