Did a few quick Drop Roks for the OGBM list. Nothing too fancy: Just a piece of polystyrene with a few bits stuck on placed in a crater. I'll post some pics once they're finished. Also I'm working on a bit of cityfight terrain.
Cheers!

Brothers!
I just found this classic piece of history on my hard drive and wanted to share the reminising with you...

What a cool pic. ?Note the utter lack of detail on the marines and vehicles at the time!
Guess I just found the paint scheme for the Warlords attached to my embryonic Word Bearer Legion. ?That crisp red and black scheme looks great! Now to dig up some old beetlebacks....

A classic! *Sigh* How I wish we'd see a resurrection of that original pre-mk1 Warlord
Cheers!

Will get to painting over the weekend - this one will be 3 days long due to 1st November being on Monday. Yay!
Will try to experiment with getting a SENMM effect on armor of one of the Sisters' armor, as an excercise of sorts.

NMM is Non-Metallic Metal. Painting metals using layered or blended flat colours to give teh appearance of a metallic shine.
SENMM is indeed very similar & Stands for Sky / Earth Non-Metallic-Metal. ? Its slightly harder to make it look realy good. It involves layering / blending flat colours to give the apearance of a mettallic shine, but in this case with all sections reflecting a horizon - Hence the Sky / Earth bit.
Attached you'll find a stunning example of SENMM, painted NOT BY ME, but I believe by a guy known as "Zaphod" (among other guises) but please anyone correct me - its taken randomly from my collection of saved "Inspirational miniatures".
The Execution of the crome is probably the best I've seen. You'll also note that the Swords have been done with standard NMM so it shows the difference in styles quite well.

Looks great. I have never had the guts to experiment too much with this.
I just finished the Drop Roks. -the paint is still wet in the pic!

Hi,
Very nice Roks Warmaster, much more how I imagined they should be when I read the Drop Rok description for the first time than some others I have seen.
I've had a lot of stuff on for the past week or so, so I havn't got much painting done. I have however managed to get some work done on a few Leman Russ as test models for the IG force I hope to build soon.
Cheers, Freshmetal

Must admit it looks interesting. I bet it is easy to mess up though.
I was interested in NMM at one point and saw that too many times it just looked grey rather then metalic.
