Hi
I have seen the pics posted in other threads of new Mars pattern Imperial ships. Does anyone know of intended release date?
There were pictures of light cruiser, cruiser and battleship. Does anyone know if there are any Mars pattern escorts planned?
Cheers
James

Thanks

Chack out Jimbo's pics from Games day. There's a few of the new BFG stuff. They look really bulky but of course that isn't a bad thing!
Cheers!

Hi- this was a reply to question I posted on BFG Yahoo Group: ****************** From bigscaryraven on the Port Maw forums: "There are NO plans to do anything about the voss cruiser in the forseeable future. It has been handed to Forgeworld, but they aren't much interested and the guy who's got the job flat out said he didn't like the original so his version most likely won't be anything like!!
Forgeworld hinted that there would be new Tau and Imperial stuff to go with the hinted at Tau/Imperial crusade. We're guessing from that that they're going for a Ultima fleet based out of Kar Danash...
There are plans to do a Mechanicus Fleet... info garnered from Fantics Modellers first hand and from the BFG head... but only in concept sketch form at the mo. There were also demos of the new Mars class ships, v. nice with skull prows BUT they won't be released until 2006 at the earliest!
The gist of this is that they aren't doing jack all with BFG in thenear future." ******************
Oh well....
Cheers
James

As far as I know, there were only about four of the original Voss prow vessels ever made. Nate had one (or two) and traded it with Bob D, so check out his site (the Golgothica Spiral, in the links section of this site).
To be honest, I am not sure what the attraction is. I found the ships ugly in the extreme.

Quote (CyberShadow @ 06 2004 Oct.,20:57) | To be honest, I am not sure what the attraction is. I found the ships ugly in the extreme. | Apart from having a whole new fleet to collect??!!

I liked the idea that different Imperial ships in different sector fleets were fundamentally the same, thus same stats, but still with their own distinctive look.
I have a couple of the voss pattern battleships and some of the voss pattern escorts. I wanted at least 3 voss pattern cruisers so that I could put together a legal fleet. I may have to get one of my friends mates to sculpt a prow and get in cast in resin.
Cheers
