What do you think slann ships would look like?
I was thinking something along the lines of the Eldar since the slann created the Eldar and the webway.
What do you guys think?

Hi!
I would agree. By most sources the Eldar were the favored children of the Slann, so their ships would be elegant, graceful... and very deadly.

I am not so sure. I would imagine Slann ships to be fairly bulbous, and not so sleek at all. Something that looks fairly stately, but which is actually deadly. I imagine them being kind of like the GW Tau ships, but covered with domes and lances jutting from them across the top.

Hi!
I guess the main stumbling block is the "froggy" anatomy of slann, thus thinking their ships should be bulbous too.
But they were an introspective, aesthetic race, so perhpas some beauty in their design is in order.

I'd go for flying city-ships, circular and huge and stately and very well shielded. And some small, fish-like escorts. If the city-ship idea is compared to a lily-pad, you've got a full frog-pond here.... Seriously though, I really do have a vision of a flying Atztec-like (ok, Lizardmen-ish) city escorted by tiny darting vessels. And perhaps some special webway-portal-type ship?

Hmmm.... Something like the FW TAU Orbital cities? Perhaus add some sort of pyramid like architecture on top (A bit Necron as well...)?
Cheers!

Werent the original Blackstones created by the Slann? Would this be a good place to start for design inspiration?

No, I thought they were created by the Eldar god Vaul- thus 'Talismans of Vaul' ..unless the Slann are the Eldar gods?

Donm't know why, but I have always thought them to be similar to a screwdriver or a silvery brick with drivers. Weird images that onje forms in his mind I guess. The eldar look do not fit my idea of "gods riding warships around the galaxy. To me the eldar are great leissure cruisers but have the same ammount of "warship" that my bike has of "apollo XII". I always thought that the slann would dride in something more similar to a superdreadnought, (like am porcupine of weapons) than to a pencil with wings. A mix between the necrons for the smooth lines and the imperial and chaos design for the ammount of weapon mounts. Big, bulky, not specially manoeuverable but sinister, deadly and proud.
Regards,
Xavi
