I was snapping pics of my Orks today for the Epic lounge. When scuffeling through my infantry I discovered that several of the plastic E40k bases had warped! I nearly had a heart attack and hurried through the rest of the box. I believe some 5% of my ork infantry now needs rebasing ?
The box has been sitting near a window through the summer so it must be the sun which has caused this. I am just amazed that the temperature could get so high in there.
Luckily there doesn't appear to be any damage to the infantry models themselves. I have yet to check if there has been any damage to any of my other armies which has been sitting the same place but at first glance it does not look so.
Oh, well I guess it is time to find a new storage space then...
Anyway just a word of warning to the rest of you: The black infantrybases go soft in the sun!
Cheers! ?

What do you expect if you try to keep Orks locked up? No doubt it was the side effect of some Weirdboyz' attempts to get free!
?
Thanks for the warning though. Hopefully there weren't too many affected.
Cheers, Freshmetal

Maybe we need a disclamer on the box... 'Store in a cool dry place or plastics may warp.....'

Hi WN,
Just glue the bases to 20mmx20mm metal bases and they'll be fine. Press them down until the superglue dries. No more warping problems ever!
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi!
Remember that heat is magnified in an enclosed small place without adequate ventilation, such as a box with epic minis, so they could warp easily if left to long in contact with the suns rays.

Grumblegrumblegrumble... I think I'll try to soak the stands in warm water and try to straighten them out that way. Luckily they are mainly old minis with a rather low quality paint job.
Cheers!
