Wow !!! Very neat stuff !!! Thanks for keeping us informed ! And I thought the same Mojarn, all the pieces have a "Doppelganger" in reality. The Boyz at S/G must be watching the History Channel again ! Can't wait to get my hands on them ! Even the infantry looks new ?!

I'm really interested in what the infantry look like painted, so I can have some PDF infantry garrisoning my buildings and stuff.
Also, if they look good, I will feel more confident about the Cadian models next year.

I'm certainly interested to see th infantry as well.
Regarding prices, the Ragnoraks aren't far off the size of Land Raiders so they're bound to cost big ?? & get complaints....

Hi!
I'm thinking of using these new pieces as proxies for the planetary defense forces army list we made for netepic.

Primarch | Seems like they would be great for that. They have an even lower tech look then the normal IG.

{groan} Why must they keep tempting me so? Is GW talking to my credit card company? Cuz every time I get the balance paid down to reasonable levels, they release new epic stuff that I must own! Arrrgggghhhhh!!!

Primarch | That's IT! They even have the artillery tractors! And Ragnarok would be perfect Mammoth with a little tinkering.

Someone at the SG site posted a link to the french online store where they apparently are allready available for preorder. Nice pics. To be honest I'm not too hot on the Siegfried. I think I'll stick to my Gorgon Proxies. They'd make excellent ork tanks though. The Rapiers and Thudd guns are OK but again easily replaced with cheap alternatives from other companies and the Infantry appears to be the Valhallans (though with a new command section). I'm also not sure about the artillery. They just look so darn tall... could be the pics though but the AA gun in particular bothers me. Another thing that worries me is how the guncrew and the base are cast. I'm afraid there could be a lot of flash and cleaning up and subsequent loss of detail to the infantry. I haven't seen the actual suppport squads for the Steel legion but I guuess it is something similar.
The "trench-blue" colourscheme is a matter of taste of course. It looks very similar to one of the schemes I tried and discarded for my Krieg Army. It's a bit too blue IMO but then again it could also be me staring myself blind on my own stuff. ...Strange how these things work; when you've gotten used to a particular paint scheme everything else just looks weird...
On the plus side the Ragnarok kicks ass! I'm definitely going to get a bunch of those.
...Sorry about the rant... It could be the painkillers talking but to be honest I think I'll stick to my own proxies for the large part of this army. On the other hand I might just need a bit of time to get used to it.
Cheers!

Thanks for the URL.
By the way, have we heard, are the troops different then the plastic IG now offered?

I would say no... Fanatic isn't exactly rich enough to tool up a whole new sprue just for an add on IG list unfortuantly...
