Whilst I'm technically having my first day back in the gardening trade today (2 days a week - dont worry any customers out there - I'm still painting 3-5 days a week too!), my boss is immensly late picking me up (some things never change..). Thus I've actually followed through & put up an update with the Tundra IG army as promised.
Imperial Guard army 4 - Tundra regiment added to Epic: Armageddon Gallery.
Next update will be more Gladiators (done 5 more since my last post on these boards!!) & possibly yet another IG army (If I get time to photograph it before it has to be sent... no promises)

Very imppressive. You sure have been busy lately. How long does it take you to paint up an army like that?
Cheers!

As usual 'epic' painting to an 'epic' standard, I'm not sure if it's the photographs but that particular camo scheme seems to lose the detail more than most. I would jump at the chance to own it all the same! Good luck with the gardening.

Quote (Justiniel @ 08 2004 Sep.,03:11) | I'm not sure if it's the photographs but that particular camo scheme seems to lose the detail more than most. | I am glad you said it, because I thought it too. Not that they look bad, I just found myself looking and saying, "what is it?" too many times.
I love that it is different and that it stands out of the usual green, but I wish I could see detail more.
Either way, thanks for sharing.

Very nice. I'm loving the fliers and vultures and valkyries.
Any plans to add some titans to the army?

The customer has asked about prices for Titans, but he's not booked them in yet so I cant be sure. To be fair, titans do tend to chime up a fairly large cost with me these days.
It was just over 2 weeks actual work, but a VERY solid two weeks work. Actual turn around time was slightly longer as it overlapped with my travels in August.
Yes, the sharp highlighted camo style does seem to break up the details a little, but I think its also the photography to some extent - the photo shoot was rushed to get it out before I went away again & the models had to be sent to the customer!
& yes, I have been busy lately. But no more so than usual - the difference is that I've been finding time to take pics of it all & make posts / updates. A lot of the time I just unpack, paint & send stuff so fast it never sees a camera let alone an update!

The details are excellent. All the models are sharp.
When looked at as a whole the details where lost, but I think that the problem with camo.
