One of my goals for today is to finish up the assembly of my trees today.
The Woodland Scenics packet I bought was TR1120, which comes with 114 trees! I also bought some foliage to glue on them.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi,
Been sketching some ideas for this Space Marine encampment and have a number of ideas that I may go ahead with. It could be a bit expensive to make what I am planning, so it may take some time to get started as I want to work out exactly what I need to make sure I'm not wasting money.
Other than that, I got hold of a huge bag of Warmaster bases today so I can start to base my CF's soon.
Cheers, Freshmetal

Resumed work on my minis. Stripped a few half-undercoated Battlemechs (white undercoat suxxx). Will resume work on the site within period of a few HOURS - just installed Photo Editor again, and this will allow me to bring up more piccies online.
And finally, the kittens are okay, though they mostly eat and sleep. Fortunately, for when they are not asleep or eating, they try to wander out of their cell (little 2x2m storage room, hastily adapted to accommodate the cats. Oh, yes, their names are Lara and Indy.

I did end up getting some work done yesterday:
Terrain: - x5 tree dioramas on 2" bases (a few trees, a big rock or two and some gradation) - x50 single-based trees (a tree on a washer)... - Prepped 250 plus washers for tree-basing (covered hole and primed to accept paint)... - Cast the Woodland Scenics rock molds twice...
Modelling tools: - x4 magnetic testing wands (for testing polarity)(useful for making sure that polarity is constant when mounting aircraft & skimmers separate of flying stands with magnets)...
Fun: - Met Chern at gaming shop and playes Settler of Cataan with Cities and Knights expansion - cleaned his clock... - Watched one of those WFB Dwarf axe-thrower things go in a WFB game... very cool... like a big lawn-mower of troops...
CONQUEST planning: - Discussed Agriworld terrain set (I'm using it for CONQUEST)... - Discussed Mars Forgeworld terrain set... - Chern and I decided to have 1,000 point sides... - Prepared 8 plus various 1,000 point army lists for CONQUEST (SM, Eldar, Nid, IG, etc.)...
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
P.S. I fear that today will be less productive... I plan to cut hills, cut felt woods & river templates, and base-coat trees & hills... I need to keep up the tempo...

Been away for most of August so not much to report on I'm afraid.
Shipping out the Tundra army as soon as I've got back into the swing of things (its confusing not living under canvas....) & then theres, you guessed it, another epic IG army commission to start work on!
Besides that, I have some gladiators, more from hasslefree & a few other oddities all which are well under way for my personal collections & sale/ebay.

Hi Guys,
Do you ever sleep Maksim? I wouldn't feel too bad about getting less done today. For the past couple of days you've done more than most of us do in several months! |
I'm really good when I get going... very organized... stop one thing... start another... then return to orginal when dry, etc. I can get a lot done with two hours of my own time.
I also need this stuff done for my weekend game (Saturday). Luckily, I only have about two to four hours of work to go.
I'm E-mailing from school. The kids are in computer class.
Unfortunately, I don't think that I'll have time to finish my Victorian "hab blocks." I may just glue-gun them to a base and worry about the rest for next year. They'll be there and the're painted, but the diorama base will take too long to make and paint... better spent on hills and trees (easier and quicker task).
Speaking of which, I'll soon have enough terrain to make the entire Agriworld generator from the E-40k book! Yeah!
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi WN,
Here's a pic of the finished Tech Guard as it looks right now. I still havent finished the command section but I'll get to it one of these days. I also want to do a few more Ordinati and perhaps a few veichles at some point. |
They look great, but I think robots look better on round bases... 3/4" washers look really good!
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
