Craig M999 has a collection of 40K miniatures and I had a notion for playing 1st Edition again, mostly for selfish nostalgic reasons as 1st Edition 40K was my introduction to wargaming rather than RPGs which I was already enjoying. Anyway, I quickly found out that I wasn’t the only person who seemed the nostalgia of this revisit and I hope some of you here enjoy this revisit to 1st Edition. We plan on making more and hope to make some 2nd and/or 3rd Edition battle reports further down the line.

The first battle report is Battle at the Farm, which was in the original 1st Edition Rogue Trader rulebook. I’ll be honest and say that the balance was way off but it was interesting seeing where it all began and it does represent an important piece of 40K history…

The second battle report is Skirmish on Rynn’s World which was both the second 40K scenario ever and the first to be published in White Dwarf (issue 94) and it was the battle report that really sold me on the idea of wargaming. The scenario was so well-balanced that my friends and I played it numerous times back in the day and I’m happy to say that it still stood up to this day! I hope you enjoy!
