I love the Horus Heresy and standing on the shoulders of giants I have put together a detachment pack for the Legions Astartes.

I have found several documents across this page and others and thought I'd combine them together in the Epic 40k format.

Any issues let me know and if you see your work here thank you and let me know.

Marines include leviathan and mastodon plus some tweaks

Custodes and sisters have better armour

New admech list (buffing up knights)

New Imperial army with solar auxilia and extra superheavies

This is great stuff! Been trying to get my head around Heresy detachments for 3rd edition.

Is there any reason why Rhinos now only transport a single unit?

Yeah, that has to be a typo. The lists define a Legion Marine Squad as 2 Space Marine Units and allow only a single Rhino to be purchased for transport, so there's no change from the base rules.


FWIW I'd also be tempted to house rule that Breacher units "count as 2" for transport purposes and make them pay +14 for two Rhinos to transport the squad. Same idea for Teminators, so no squeezing 2 of them into a Land Raider - take a Spartan if you want to transport that many in one basket. But that's just my OCD talking :-[

In the original rulebook the rhino has transport 1 and costs 7 pts, since it's less shooty than the chimera one with transport 2 should cost 12 pts
