Cracking job, super clean paintwork, I normally try and steer clear from anything with much white on but must start giving it a bash soon ;)

Well, I'm not quite sure why it took quite so long for me to get around to finishing this detachment, but here it is.

That concludes the third company, so that just leaves the fourth and fifth to go! And since I'm not planning on doing the reserve companies in their entirety, that means the army is somewhere in the region of halfway done.

Next up will be some Land Speeders.

Looking good! Nice and clean, and the variations in Marine pose make a difference.

Yeah, it does make a huge difference having more than one pose on a single stand.

Thanks, chaps!

Here's a second formation of Land Speeders, including some Tornadoes and Typhoons:

Scouts next.

Cheers, guys.

Here are the Scouts. This is the only Captain in the army not accompanied by a company standard bearer; the 10th Company does not have a company standard. He does have a personal banner instead, even though this is an absurd thing to have when attempting to do scouting and infiltration. I've painted his cloak in the same green as the trousers and sleeves of the scouts, to reflect his membership of the 10th.

I had been planning to do some Razorbacks next, but then I got excited converting an Apothecary on a bike, so it'll probably be bikes next instead.

I'll try but it may be a little while yet so don't hold your breath! It's taken me about 8 months to paint up 7,000 points, so at this rate I should have everything I have planned done by about October.

Hi!

Cool!

I really like the circular bases you've been using. :)

Thanks! The bases are the ones from TMG/Vanguard Miniatures. For most regular troops I've stuck with strip bases but for scouts, circular bases seemed to suit them better. Plus I've also used them for bikes and mounted all my skimmers and Dreadnoughts on them for consistency.

So, here are the bikes:

Razorbacks next.

Well, here are the Razorbacks:

As usual, the turrets are from Shapeways.

Next up will be a Terminator Detachment and a Predator Detachment, but not necessarily in that order.
