Following on from our little get together in Cornwall last year, some of the SW epic players got together last weekend for some friendly mini-geddon, this time heading up to the warm hospitality of the Bristol crew. Unfortunately we were a little down on numbers due to some life events for others, but it turned out to be good fun, with minigeddon allowing for plenty of time for some banter and making plans for next years SW tournaments.

Once again the Inquisitor's Pasty trophy was up for grabs, this time as an individual prize. The leader table ended up something like this :

1. Redar - SFs Orks (what else?)
2. Me! - Black Legion
3. Wartrader - Death Guard
4. Horratio - Steel Legion
5. Duncan - Vannahiem

I didn't get any photos other than Daz gleefully robbing a Cornishman of his pasty !

And Ian holding up the Devon-Cornwall end for averaged team score :

Great fun, and hopefully we'll get to do it again next year.

PS. Darren has some pics of the games he plans to add soon.

Thanks to Blip for pulling the event together; was good fun and the minigeddon games made for a pleasant change of pace.

Thanks also to Blip, Nat, Dunc and IJW for some great games.

If in doubt, take loads of Orks!

My Freaks clash with Duncs Vanaheim in rd 1.
Lot of damage to both sides but Freaks managed to turn the tide and see out the win after catching two formations (inc BTS) in T2

Rd2 versus Nats Steel Legion.

I risked winning the T2 stat roll and moved right up in front of the two Russ formations at the end of T1. Luckily I won the roll off and managed to engage both intermingled before they were able to activated and now down all my LVs...

After that Nat didn't have enough stuff to prevent the IG being picked apart.

Blip and I have had a bit of a running feud this year, with this being our 3rd tourney game iirc.
A very edgy game for the first come of turns, with Blip not over extending himself or giving me any openings to attack.
Eventually a series of assaults on both sides left both of us much depleted.
A crucial assault in the final turn allowed me to snatch the Blitz and the victory.

Hopefully we'll get a year ending clash at the GT Blip....!

Final game saw me come up against IJW and his Death Guard.
This was a very resilient list and was a bit like trying to beat up a bouncy castle.

IJW gave me a couple of openings to get at his skimmers and a retinue and while I wasn't able to deal with his tough BTS I had done enough to claim a win.

All in all, ''twas great fun... there's nothing quite like robbing a Cornishman of his pasty!

I think i might of set this feud in motion by taking down your newly painted great gargant at last years Exeter entrenchment... honestly, you should play squats with this level of grudge keeping!

Great game as always. And as always, no matter how well it seems to be looking on turn two, i still got pipped to victory in the end! Bring on the GT!

Great pics, and thanks again for getting the venue arranged.
