Quote (Legion 4 @ 16 2004 April,15:34) | Did you get one each of the three new versions in the pack? ? | Hi L4 not sure if you are talking about the Trukks or the Squiggoths.
If you are talking about the Trukks then what you see in the photo is what you get in the blister.
If you are talking about the Squiggoths then these are not new releases but are Epic40K models, two are conversions, one with a howdah (made from plasticard) and one with a Hydra weapon system mounted on it.

Thanks Jimbo ! I was asking about the Truks. So I'll be getting at least a blister of those. I've got 2 of the E40K S/goths, both versions, still under-construction on my workbench ! And 5 of the SM2 types (both versions), I completed years ago. I must take photos one day ! Thanks again Jimbo !

Hi!
I kinda prefer the old squigoths to the newer ones, they look more archaic.

The SM2 S/goths look like Wooly Mammoths and the E40K, kind of like Elephants of some sort. Both look good with my Snakebites !!

I kinda prefer the old squigoths to the newer ones, they look more archaic. | I have to admit I prefer the Epic40K ones, I like the look.
Did some more concept ideas on my army last night, with some new infantry stands.
I have decided that as feral orks are even less organised than a regular ork army that I will base the infantry using 40mm x 20mm bases (read Warmaster bases) and put seven models on each base.
The first few bases look very different to the line of infantry you get with the regular Epic40K 20mm x 5mm bases. I will take some photographs soon.
I have also re-read the feral ork army list and I am not sure if I am just restricted to units from their as the wording seems to indicate that I can take regular ork units as well (it certainly seems to imply that I can take flyers and flyers are not on the feral ork list).

Much of the text is just a cut-n-paste job. You are restricted to only taking formations and units in the FO list.

Of course the restriction only applies if you are playing a tournament legal army, I can of course combine both the Ork and Feral Ork lists for my own games.
Okay model time, here are the pictures as promised.

Very cool. I like the 'mob' feel to the larger bases. Who is the guy in the middle, just to the right and behind the standard bearer?

My diplay army is going on warmaster bases as well (with a few exceptions) as it gives far more space to add detail & add some movement to the individual pieces & the units as a whole.
CS: I believe its the E40K edition "Doc" model - hacksaw & syringe (sp?) armament as standard...

I have now added the black to my Junkatrukks.

These will then be drybrushed with Tin Bitz and Boltgun Metal before the white is re-touched and then the trukks painted in a variety of deserty-orangey-red colours.
The Squig Gargant still has a long way to go, but I have "mocked" up the following to give some people an idea of where I want to go with it.

The idea is that that the howdah is built up and is not just a flat Warmaster base!

Wow, looks fantastic Jimbo, very imaginative! - I wasn't entirely sure where you were going with this one when you first posted it, but this looks like it will be a great model! ?
