Hey,

I've been busy touching up the eldar army, still a ton to do but I wanted your opinions on it. I feel like it's missing something. I got my inspiration from warmaster nice, as his stuff is amazingly well done. Any advice would be awesome.

Also sorry if this is the wrong forum for this kind of thing.

The yellow is rather muted for Eldar. Less mustard and more bright yellow in my opinion.

I purchased the army second hand, and it was all based in yellow. Ive been thinking about repainting the army in Biel Tan, since thats what I play . . . . or Saim hann since I just love saim hann. Do you think it looks that bad?

Thanks Mordoten, and I totally hear you dave - I was a little disappointed over how dark it turned out. Ive been thinking of going back with some straight yellow or something. Ive since gone back and made a few alterations but I think it still needs a bit of work. I re-did the gem work, I didnt really like how they didnt look gemmy enough, This looks a lot better. I still need to brighten the hull up a bit, so thats next.

The silver throws off the blue in the force field. I was thinking of either darkening the plates around the outside or something. . . . I unno. Well let me know.

No, of course not ! They look fine ! You should always do what works for you not me. I was just adding my opinion to the mix.

All my models are in Tac/camo colors ... here's a pic of my Blood Angels in what looks like a shade of WWII Russian Brown. Many refer to them as "Mud Angels" ...

It's not Eldar if it's not gaily painted There's a reason they get called "interior decorators."

Hmm colour is a bit muted by my taste, but aesthetics in these matters are subjective!

I think I've got the colors down finally, what do you all think? Also does anyone have recommendations on how to avoid streaky patchy painting?


I'm trying to thin my paints but the causes them to spread really thin which means I need multiple layers which is making thing streaky. Maybe I'm not getting the paint even due to the water dilution not being 100% the same. I donno, any tips would be appreciated.
