Thats some smooooth red.

Interesting choice to go with Four marines per base. I've seen 3 for the rarer models, especially ones as big as they are, but four is an odd number! (well even number, but you know what I mean! ;) )

For me, 3 looks a bit sparse and 5 is both crowded and a less efficient use of models, at a first glance I don't always realise it's 4 models rather than 5

Work continues.... retinue 1 of 3 completed, reasonably happy with the freehand on the banner, termies, rhinos and chosen up next

Need suggestions for how to do the basing.... currently thinking I'll just go for the ash world look, any other good ideas?

Nice! I would suggest avoiding a monochrome base as it would dilute the mini colours. Maybe a desert tan?
