The whole notion of such a walker doesn't make sense. So yeah, sci-fi! :)

Had an estimated time of arrival box added to the left of the front page to inform you as to my best estimate for re-stock of the different ranges. This should also help me out as I will not have to spend so much time answering emails about when stuff will be back in stock. :)

Hope this feature will be useful for you guys.

Also i've had a few more items arrive from Battlescene today so they will be up soon.

Cheers

FYI, now that I own the bases mould and have had my first batch in I have been able to jiggle with the figures and can now offer the bases at a reduced rate.

New pack sizes and prices are,

50 bases at £4.00
100 bases at £7.50

Nice! :D But the gaps to shove in the infantry bases is 1.8mm deep? I assume those bases in their entirely were already only 2mm 'tall'?

Looks like a slightly deeper, chunkier turret? It looks pretty spiffy, to me. :)

So that tank's hull (including sponsons) is a single piece, or are the sponsons separate? And if so, does this mean they'll also have a variant for a different weapon?

At the moment it's a single piece hull, i'm looking into the loose sponsons option.

Have had a mountain of requests to do many weapon variations so if we can swop out different sponsons that will be done, ideally i'd like one hull that I could just get new turret and sponsons sprues made for.

I'm a few pages late as I am not checking in to this forum as much as I used too.

Your facebook page: Push more photos, especially with painted stuff. If you don't have enough from outside sources set aside one weekend and paint a handful of various minis and a couple of different bits of terrain and have them on standby, mix and match them and do a photo shoot. Don't publish them all at once, do a massive shoot, and just publish a couple a week/day/year what ever you fill you need too.

The concept stuff is nice, but it floats around a lot on the other epic sites, and personally I for one will ignore the pictures if I'm rushing down the feed over morning tea or something. Thats more for the weekend, and on places like here where you get more fan interactions. If time is precious then use it to push REAL SWEET COOL LOOK AT THAT photos than the B&W designs. Fans love designs, passers bys need to woo'd (I'm not even sure if that's a word!)

Save you self time: Type your post up in word/open office what ever you use, including the links for you photos you upload, then just copy paste on to the handful of forums you want exposure. I've told Angel barracks this in the past, but the worse thing he did was to stop posting on several sites, I wont use the site he only posts on now (I dislike it) and because of that I missed out on his 6mm sculpt a hero kickstarter, as well as not being able to see what else he is up too. I know answering questions takes time, but put aside a time slot once a week to do your forum news/question time- but remember to do odd updates at various times to catch other people. Some one on facebook might miss your post if you do it every Friday night but might see one first thing monday morning! (be regular but don't be regular! lol what am I saying!?!)

Be honest when you are slow at answering questions- most people will be cool if you just say sorry it took a week to answer, I have a shite job and a real job, but I was stuck in the shite one today!

Drop you name in every conversation you have on facebook. The amount of times people ask where to epic minis from I point them too you. Even if what they are after is forumware (a lot of people asking about this lately! something is going on! :-X ) I must see this question 3 times a week on the epic page on facebook.

Paint the stuff you sell- even if you dont like it! Again with the show off painted figs- paint up a stand of what new onslaught thing you have in, and do "this is whats on my painting bench, what are you guys painting this weekend". I see these threads a lot over facebook, and the original poster never seems to answer back, but the threads run themselves! Dont have to go mad, just a WiP of some stands of primed and a couple with some block colours! But do get a handful of really nice painted ones from time to time too- maybe if you ever have some spare cash from this get a couple of 'professional' models done (I'm not saying you stuff is bad- but a couple of titans painted by people with either too much talent or with shrink rays will really show them off. I get pretty disgusted at how inferior my stuff looks after visiting the epicFr site! I'd kidnap the whole lot of 'em if I could and make them paint for me. But it makes me want to buy their stuff!)

Sponsor a tourny or epic painting comp or something. Chuck a bag of minis to a tourney winner and get some publicity. Or throw your own comps every few months. This might not be an affordable step right now, but think about sticking some spare change in a pot in readiness to cover for a comp down the line. DONT LET the winner be decided by facebook likes- GW do this and it becomes a case of who can beg the most likes off 40k pages. Its disgusting. Dont Even need to have prizes! Marvel comics have been giving away no-prizes for years and years and people are still to this day trying to win them!! ;)

(and yes I'm well aware that this is not ALL possible, and that your time it limited, Take what ever bits of advice from this that you think is useful and dump the rest. I wont be offended, I have far too much free time and giving out advice that no one asked for has become my thing to do by the looks of it!!)

All the best.

@ RexHavoc, hiya thanks for the input here it's all sound advice.

Absolutely love to be able to set aside a weekend to paint anything at all the problem with a webstore is that it is 24/7 so never closes. Orders come in at all times of the day everyday of the week so once I get home from my day job I then have to deal with vanguard. Can take upwards of two to three hours every evening just sorting mail and answering customer questions, then there's keeping the website upto date, sorting inventory, printing orders to pick, picking and packing orders ready to ship, answering replies to messages, need I go on.

I cam't afford to ignore the store over any weekend i'd end up swamped and needing serious catch up the following week so basically i'm working seven days a week to keep on top of things. No rest for the wicked and this is a one man operation.

Time is at a premium these days you only have to look at my 6mm thread to see that i've painted hardly bu**er all since starting vanguard as I simply don't have time to sit down at the sadly abandoned hobby bench and get the brushes out.

I do copy and paste messages around various places and this also blitzes much time especially on facebook as as soon as you post something you get bombarded by questions which you then have to set aside time for to answer.

Usually I clock on for vanguard around 5:30 in the evening and turn the laptop off arond 11:30, 12:00 as I need to go work the next day.

Guess what i'm saying is I simple don't have the time to implement most of your suggestion no matter how sound they are.

Thanks again for the input and interest, regards.

Sponsoring the tournaments shouldn't be too hard. You could try to provide a few miniatures for Gothicomp and Epicomp, it would spread your name around in the community. :)

I'll try to look around for some more painted/converted DiD miniatures and forward their links to you. Perhaps this is something that could be collaborated on with parties like Onslaught Miniatures and other companies whose miniatures you distribute. That way it won't all rest of your own shoulders.
