Good luck. That's a 100 ton assault mech armed with 2x Gauss, 2x PPC, and 4x ML with enough rounds for 16 turns continuous firing on the Gauss. It's also able to fire everything except the ML and still come in heat neutral on the run. :)

Is it possible, one day in the future, that I could hire you Vaaish to paint up some stuff for me? I can't paint like I used to, but I'm still addicted to miniatures and I'd like to have something complete instead of unpainted piles of metal and plastic laying around and rotting.

Splash: Unfortunately it's not likely. I'm not taking on any new commissions these days because I've got a sizable mound of lead myself I need to get out from under before I'm 50.

Ah, okay. Thanks anyway. I've got five years left then to find something to do with my stuff....

So I'm coming in just after the end of January with these. My goal was to finish them up before the new month but I ran into a couple of snags that prevented that from happening. At least happening by much. :)

After finishing up the last major bits of my epic IF army it became pretty clear that the old land raiders I did just weren't cutting it and needed to be repainted. This is the fist set of four raiders to have that happen. I'm much happier with the result and they'll fit in much better with the rest of the armor.

Just to prove I've gotten better over the years, here's a shot for the folks who said I was crazy when I thought the old paint jobs were laughably bad compared to what I do now:

Wow, shading yellow with black (dark brown?) is intimidating. They're beautiful!

Thanks! It's always good to see where you come from. I still have the first ever 40k models I painted and the first marine I did that I go back to now and again to remind myself that I'm improving :)

@carl: it's dark brown for the shading and I shade up to the highlight so it's not nearly as intimidating :)

That is a great retrospective. Anyone can see how much effort you have put in over the years to get to where you are now.

In addition to still having my first plastic Space Marine that I painted, I also have my very first miniature that I ever painted: a Ral Partha wizard with an owl on his shoulder. I look at it to stay humble. Ha ha!

Thank you for sharing!
