Yes, ideally it would always be the same mini for the same unit. But i'm using the 1989/1990 original knights for the rest of the army, some of which look completely different from one another while being the same unit.

I'm planning to use strong colours paired with white to distinguish formation/unit types.

So … been a while. Haven't had much hobby time recently, but I have just done the first 2 of the 4 old thunderbolts im working on. I have FW tbolts ready to paint, but have skipped back to do old SM era ones to match my AT salamanders and original knight armies. Very fast and fun minis to paint.

these two are the 'dull' pair in generic modern FW colours. Next two will be more interesting (thought still based on grey :D ).
