Gargant Big Mob list development

Today I uploaded the 3.2.2 version of the list.

It includes the changes in unit size and points for Lootas mentioned above. It also includes the killa kan mob also mentioned above.

Next is tweaking guns!

I like it as well.
I just wanted to get a short clarification: someone mentioned in the battle reports that Supa Stompas get a bonus to rally with the Extra Armor bitz. Mob rule is *more than* 5, so they wouldn't get it with DC5, right? Or am I missing a special rule?

(In the reference, Nobz are missing their second big shoota, and IIRC Gun fortress is missing as well.)

A quick question. Regarding random stats. Is it stated in the rules when these should be rolled for. I assume shields are rolled for beginning of the game (although it would be interesting with a shield that varied turn to turn). And weapons once you fire them.
But is it clearly stated somewhere?

DrPepper: we have always played it that it needs to be more than 5/10.

Shoel: you're right. Shields are rolled before the game atarts and shots are rolled when used. I think it's pretty clear and don't see the need to state it more clearly. But rhat could be because I've played the game for quite some time now...

Played since 2nd Ed, but I'm thinking about new players. And I can't find any part in the rules that clarifies this. And I'm not saying this is something that needs to be done within this List, this should perhaps be a matter for the FAQ.
What's obvious for veteran players can be a mystery for a novice.

Perhaps this is a good item for an integrated FAQ entry to the TP in section 5.5.3 Power Fields?

"Unless otherwise specified, random Power Fields are to be rolled before the game starts". This is somewhat a universal thing in all the ork lists. thoughts?

That would solve the power fields, but not random power weapons. That would likely have to be FAQ'ed in the main rules.

No weapons already have a standing precedence in the game. See Space Marine Dreadnoughts for example.

??? Space marine dreadnought don't have random FP guns, do they?

I mean like the Landa, D6+3 Gun turrets. It could be argued that you roll this at the start of the game at the same time you roll for power shields. But the way we've always played it is that you roll everytime the formation gets to fire.

Since there's no rule (that I'm aware of), either could be correct.

See that's why we need this FAQ'ed.

There is obviously a dissagreement on which is the correct way to play it.

Yeah, where all very much in agreement when and how you roll for random shots.

So no, no disagreement there. Haven't heard anyone thats ever suggested that you roll the damage output of a shadowsword before the game.
