I know all too well what it's like to be exposed to the hate of the most bigoted people, directed both at me and at people close to me for issues much like this. I've also seen friends in similar positions slip towards such ends. It might seem a little cliched, but if there's anything I'm able to do to help then please consider the offer extended.
My deepest condolences to all those closest to him.
