Hey there,

I am looking for alternatives to the regular Rough Riders. I know of these miniatures:

- GW very old sculpt, plastic
- GW E40K era, plastic
- E&Cs Not-Death Korps Riders
- Steelcrowns Not-Mukali Riders

These are fine models BUT: They all have coats. Which does not fit well with my Catachan Infantry. I COULD sculpt and cast them, no sweat. But I only need a handful of them, so costs would be not proportional to use. I need 6 Bases, thats it. So 18 Miniatures, which is, again to much to sculpt all (far too lazy).
So I am looking for alternatives. Alternatively: Horse Dollies in 6mm.

Any help would be appreciated.

Honestly? Any 6mm historical cavalry. Baccus 6mm Boers would work well as would some of the Ancients just avoid any mounted archers and they'll work!

I know Baccus, I have met the guy in person several times (at show, CRISIS for example). He is a nice chap and the minatures are well priced. I am most tempted by the Boers.
If I could mix em up with my Catachans, that would be ace. But Baccus tends to be on the more realistic 6mil track while GW is more at the upper, nearly 8mil/10mil. So these could not fit, thats why I was asking.
I have some WSS Cav (the old range) laying around, must have a look at them when I have the time.
Blank dollies could also work, or converting regular Riders...
