Space elf paintjob looks stunning, as said by others does not look that different from the other one,
and if you have managed to save time and get those results still, you did well this one ;)

The problem with taking a long while to work on an army is that you have other ideas for colour schemes mid-project ::)

I painted up this scorpion last night aiming for a higher contrast across the blends, it's not quite finished and I snapped the damn winglet off it putting it away last night, I'm also currently without superglue :{[]

so what are people's thoughts on the scheme, how well it mixes with the other models I've painted, and whether I should re-paint all the other stuff to match the new scheme, or leave the scorpion as a curiosity or what....

Blue and green both look deeper and richer moving from dark to light on the newer one. Think they both look great. Also the edge highlighting is crisp and makes it 'pop'

I think they would work fine in the same army as the same colour theme is running through them

The contrast looks fabulous, but I would be concerned about whether I could maintain the enthusiasm and time to achieve that amount of detail across an entire army!! Just for the super heavies maybe?

Got to say that scorpion looks fantastic ! Photos sometimes lie but the Highlights really pop and it looks sleek and dangerous.

I would have though a bit of glaze shading and then edge highlighting on the others should make them look right together ?

the void spinner looks bad in this pic, the light washes out the edge highlights a bit and hides the subtler fade in the panels... it's the same model shown here so you can see it's not as basic as it looks in the photo!

I'm very torn as I like the void spinners and falcons done in the brighter scheme....

@Markconz, the leftmost one was the quickest to paint yet, managed it in a single sitting of <3 hours last night, the fade was the quickest bit too, thanks to the miracle that is drybrush blending and the awesomeness of P3 paints ;)

Really love the depth you got with the Scorpion.
