Hehe it's not enough to own the printer :p. After that you need a lot of time, nerves etc. To learn the tricks and get it to print decent stuff.

Long time no see.
For over 4 month, I didn't print a thing. Than I had to print some infantry for the EEC. To my utter surprise the printer worked immediately without any hassle, despite being idle for so long.

After having started printing again, i just went on to print some more Orks. I wanted to have some more tanks, not something that looked like a Battlewagon, but something that really looked like a tank.

I went back to an early design and did some variants by changing the kind of threads used. To get even more diversity and because the look I also did some assault gun like tanks.

There are also some new Flakwagons. The ones with the barrels can be seen above and here is one with an open platform and a crew relaxing.

A view from "above" an the Flakwagon with a "fighting" crew.

For those who want to hazard a guess what army I will start next some shots of WOP.

These are Pladins and Errants, Crusaders and Castellans are just being primed.

Enjoy

Who do ya gonna call ?

If you're a damsel in distress, you will - obviously - call a knight.

Let's say, you ran out of that (you know which one) red nail varnish and the Imperial Soiree will start in just twelve hours - a Knight Errant would be a sensible choice, with the big hand of his, he's just perfect for fetch and carry type errants - guess where he got his name from.

Let's say, you're not sure whether that red nail varnish, will be appropriate for the occasion, you'll call a Paladin, well versed in anything related to the Emperor, guess where he got his name from.

But let's say you have some distress caused by a monster lurking in your wardrobe or a chaos spawn rampaging through your dungeon, who do ya gonna call ?

The heavies:

Last game reminded me that a Supreme Commander has it's virtue and so I designed a Baron. While I painted him I added two more Errants - so much nail polish to be fetched.
Despite being background-wise closer to a Paladin than to a Crusader, I based his design on the heavies, because of the better armour and being a Baron gives you access to the best there is.

While the Baron printed I designed the Rough Riders.

Being Scouts, they would be Squires or "Knights to be". I guess they wouldn't use no horses, but some mechanical contraption to prepare them for their future life. So I designed the Rough Riders not as cavalry, but some light mechanical walker thingie. There are 14 stands, mainly because it's always helpful to have some spares. All stands in the army are 20mmx30mm, enough space to fit 2 Rough Riders, a Knight or a gun with crew.

I thought they looked alright, but seeing the macro shots, I think I have to retouch them. Probably when I clean up the knights an remove that dirty look - so probably around Christmas 2035. Up to than I'll tell people to not take them up, because the varnish is still sticky.
