Great weekend again, Britcon is a fantastic wargaming event. 4k really is the best points level for EA, it's more forgiving of mistakes and allows more tactical play IMO

1st game was against MikeT with a similar army except instead of a dragonship he had another ranger formation and WS for Warp spiders. We both deployed in a similar fashion behind terrain but spread out as much as possible to avoid barrages. Mike went first and fired both spinners but only caused BMs, I then used my spinners which broke a prism formation and a falcon formation. Rangers stalled on both sides and my dragonship pin pointed and killed both Mikes spinners. It seems a long time ago now but I think I air assaulted a guardian formation wiping them out and then was counter assaulted by Mikes vampire+aspects which was in turn taken out by my 2nd aspect.
2nd turn Mike went first again but his assault on my aspects went wrong when his Avatar criticalled. My Avatar wasn't useless for once and mauled his mounted guardians. Various assault took place but I managed to severely cut down Mikes activations with my spinners.
Turn 3 I had a large activation advantage and managed to further increase it with the spinners allowing me a 2/3-0 win.
Game 2 Early start at 8.15 on Saturday to play Tiny-Tims Blood angels.
Tim took Death Co+dreads, baals, LC, 2 thawks, tbolts, termies with Capt, termies with chaplain, 2 x speeders, 2 x scouts, strike cruiser and Land Raiders.
This game was basically decided at the start, Tim teleported both his terminators in. Then failed the strategy roll off, mounted guardians assaulted one, avatar and then vampire+aspect air assault the other. With poor dice both terminators were wiped out. Then Tim air assaulted an isolated falcon formation with his DC and baals in the LC. They wiped out the falcons but then I retaliated by bringing my BTS aspect out of the gate in FF support and then air assaulting the DC wiping them out. With 1300ish points dead in the first handful of activations the game was pretty much done then. Spinner further thinned out the SM and falcon shooting over the next 2 turns gave me 4-0.
