Long time no post in this thread
My poor Necromundan Death Blades have been neglected for a little while now, as I've been trying to get my Death Guard up to a state that I'm happy with.
To be honest, I don't have a real lot more that I want to do for this army, but it is missing a few staples that will take it from the 9th Necromundan Easybeats to the 9th Necromundan Death Blades!
These are things like Deathstrikes (I sadly have none!), Manticores, Shadowswords, a warhound or two, and some Superheavy Transports (like Gorgons and the Crassus) to allow me to use them in a variety of different lists including my own Heavy Mechanised list.
Then there are models of opportunity that pop up from time to time.
Like the Command Leviathan here.
This is one of the old Superheavy models from about 1990. It's actually my mates, and he gave it to me to paint about 10 or 15 years ago. Well I finally got around to painting it, but not in the Squat colours he would have liked!
Because it isn't mine, and because it might end up getting re-painted some day, I kept the details to a minimum. If I was going to hang onto it, I would probably add some honour markings, battle damage and perhaps an extremely over the top devotional banner to it, to show in no uncertain terms that this thing contains someone who is top kid.
I might add some details after I play some games with it, like I plan to do with my Imperial and Traitor titans.
But for now it will do, and make a suitable centrepiece for my grey horde.
In games it can be used in the Cadian Epic Armageddon list, which looks like a good, fun list, and something I'm looking forward to trying out. It can also be used in games of NetEpic as a Special Card, and carry a company of Death Blades slowly up the field while bombarding the enemy with it's Doomsday Cannon.
So fun times ahead!
