Fantastic work mate, first time I've seen these painted up, I never get to paint them myself...always too busy cutting wood to paint :). Looking forward to seeing the rest painted up :)

I have been given a wee bit of money from the family and most of it will go towards a couple of buildings Ive been promising to buy since you first put them up! I have put up a trade post as there are several things I am looking for to stock up for what is going to be a very long dry spell for me, but what is left will go towards buildings.

I do apoligise for not having done anything much with the ruins you sent me, life turned pretty much upside down after I last posted and thanked you for them! I have only just started coming out my shell!

The new website is pretty good. Will all the buildings/bases end up on there or will you have a price list for everything up soon? I'm trying to spread my meager amount of cash between buildings and minis and most of the things I am interested in are not up on the site yet! (you awful tease! ;) )

@Bissler the landing pad looks great! Your pics are fine. I think that the new landing pad looks better than some of the 28mm scale ones!

Hi mate,

No need to apologise! Thanks mate, lifes picked up for me, but sounds like you've been through a rough patch yourself. I hope you're doing ok? I've got to get around to photographing the new pieces again and write the descriptions first, then pass them on to be uploaded onto the site. I must make some time soon! Tell you what mate, drop me an email and we can have a chat :).

Take care and speak soon
Paul

Thanks very much mate. I feel pretty awful right now, but trying to get back in to the swing of things! I had to delete my facebook, though I do now have a new one under an alias. So I will have to message you on here for now, otherwise you wont have a clue who it is!

I am working out a few trades and when they are done and dusted in the next few days I will some idea of exactly how much I will have left out of the money I have been given, and so will have some idea of how much roughly I will want. (sadly wont be as much as I'd like to be able to throw at you!) So there is no rush to get anything on the site, other than because its all so cool!

Thanks again, and will talk soon!

Ps. I forced my self in to some painting the other night and whilst if was drying I (finally!) had a fiddle with the ruins you sent me. Not only are they awesome, but the are so versatile! If you don't already, you might want to consider a set of modular ruins (other than the huge versions!) as they look so good, and you can so so much with them! I did try cutting them down to base size, as was the original plan, but sadly I found that they lost the overall feel when chop in to small tiny pieces, it was not noticeably different from using regular scrap! But as larger bits, or for larger bases they are perfect.

Bissler, thanks as well. I'm trying my best to get life back to normality and posting here always seems the number one step! Looking forward to a new video. Just in time to coincide with the new faith no more album as well, maybe? ;D

This week I recieved my order and today I finished the building of the great edifices - very nice stuff indeed!

How do you paint them? Is a basecoat by spray can to heavy for the fine details of the roofs and walls?

Thanks for your advice and this nice terrain!

Hi,

I'm glad you like thebuildings, cheers :)

Yes, I generally use a spray can for the basecoat. As long as you don't hold the can/model close together and you spray light coats, the paint wont clog the engraved detail. I have a couple of buildings I painted then resprayed again as I wasn't keen on the original paint and the detail still shows up nicely.

Feel free to post on here or email me if you want any more advice.

Thanks
Paul

Sorry Rex, I meant to get back to you far sooner than this. Obviously the video hasn't arrived yet...give me another week or two. And yes, you'll probably hear a track from the new FNM album on it!

Well, after some health issues and pondering wether or not to keep on doing this, I decided to keep going.

So here is the latest edition to the defence sets - Trench Bunker!

Keep on doing what you do and we'll keep on buying it!

But i agree that defense lines are maybe not that sought after.,.

Quick update: I've found a better supplier for materials, so saving some pennies which I can pass onto the customer. So the webstore has been updated with the new lower prices. Also, the trench bunker is now online.

Cheers!

ANNOUNCEMENT

As of Friday, 31st July, Battlescene Designs webstore will be closed.

After some considerable consideration, I have decided to close down the webstore and run it purely as a commission based operation. I will have a catalogue available for download on this thread and published on Facebook page which will be updated as and when new items become available. I am sad to do this as I had great plans for the future, however it now has to be run in the background due to my current situation.

Thank you all who have supported me with this venture, I have not gone for good, merely lurking in the shadows and will re-appear with new stuff from time to time.

Paul

P.S. I will be posting a list later of stock I have already cut, if anyone is interested in it then there is a 10% discount on the advertised price on the webstore.
