I prefer random match up on the day! But I think we all want lists in advance please? Either MephistonAG or the Captains or individually post them?

UPDATE

The first round pairing will be determined by the captains using a tested system borrowed from the W40k/WFB ETC.

The system we'll use is

Simultaneous procedure:
1.)
Team A puts up one of its 5 armies
Team B does the same
2.)
Team A puts up two armies against the one put up by Team B
Team B does the same
3.)
Team A chooses one of the two armies put up by Team B to be played against the army put up by Team A in step 1
Team B does the same
*The armies that don't get chosen return to the pool
4.)
Repeat the procedure
5.)
The army of team A that did not get chosen plays against the last army in the
pool of Team B
6.)
Roll a die to determine tables for pairs.

After this we'll see 2 rounds of swiss pairing.

I ran all the lists that aren't from ArmyForge through it to sanity check them, however I'm not sure how up to date the Squat list on their is so may be best to check the cost of the Thunderfires as the ArmyForge has them at 125 not 100.

Additionally, isn't that Squat list running almost 50% war engines rather than 33%? This is at least going by the Thurgrimm 1.4 list which appears to be the most up to date (difficult when you're using an experimental list to be sure mind you)

Thunderfires are also indeed 125 on that list as well (if that's the current one)

Hi Richard and Mephastion, sounds like you're looking at the 1.4 list not the 1.5. Which is the current list where overlords are support not titans and thunderfires cost 100 points. Totally understand the confusion, I made the same mistake when I started playing them and so did Gavin the other night. Obviously, I'll go through everything in the 5 minute warm up.

Ok, located it (bizarrely quite a bit further down than the 1.4 list?) - while i have reservations about using experimental NET EA lists in events it looks fine according to that list. Still, this is hardly that hard-core an event, so at least gives them a chance to be tested in a larger group i guess.

Yeah it is randomly located. For what it's worth I think it's one of the more balanced experimental lists (certainly not overpowered like say the eldar titan legion) . From about 8 games I can recall either Mark or I playing with it I think there's 3 wins, a draw and 4 losses. And exactly, would be good to try them at a tournament event.

I personally have no idea about the Squat lists though like to point out that Steve has been announced as playing 1.5

Richard and I will start the pairing process today.
Figure we can do one sequence per day (aka 2 pairs) which would allow everything to be done Friday morning.
This way we got some time to think about match-up and also allow for discussion within the club.

Btw Steve, i might be going a bit mad (and it's immaterial for this event as you're not taking them) but the list doesn't seem to show the Goliath stats, despite being an option!

Should also add I've gone for a more 'fun' (or at least mobile) option than the more competitive I'll just sit in this corner and hit you with more barrages than you've seen in your life option. No-one would enjoy that, probably least of all me. Though obviously, there are still barrages, it is a squat army after all.
