Do you want it to look more like a lifting arm that could actually lift the stuff, or some kind of electromagnet/tractor beam device?

I'm really liking how this stuff is coming along.You're making some great use out of those GW kits. I wasn't keen on them, until I saw your stuff.

Well the entry for lifta droppa does have it being used as a first strike ccw and a long range TK gun. I think I'd prefer the second of your suggestions, some sort of tractor beam.

My only issue is there isn't too much room on the miniature left. There might be enough if the lifta droppa is raised and not currently in use, but this would add a lot to the height of the mini and I would still need to transport it.

I'm not too worried about doing something new that might not fit with what GW or FW think a lifta droppa should be, but this will set a precedent for the rest of my army and future ones will be similar. In this case I would rather build something relatively simple rather than something extremely complicated and difficult to repeat.

Wow, thanks for the comments guys...I have thought about what I will do with the great gargants lifta droppa; a slightly converted conversion beamer from the new skitarii onager set!

Should be perfect!

Look out for a battle report from Iridium_Fire sometime soon when my gargants clashed with his titans...it went...orkier than expected haha.

Sorry about slow progress my end, I have been distracted by several orders being delivered...amongst them quite a bit of other armies.

Will get painting soon I promise :-P

Sorry for the triple post

Thought it would be good to keep different armies in different posts...felt wrong to mix.

Last but not least some very excellent miniatures arrived from Ben (thank you kindly) and started to base them up. Upon which I realized that painting them on sprue would be so much easier so had to give up. Fortunately it means I am bound to paint some miniatures soon otherwise I won't get to build these fantastic minis.
