Is it possible with those flagstone bases to make bases that have the flagstone footpath on one side, and it moves to a road on the other. So you'd burn down for the road, and then burn down a little more for the space where the figure standing on the road is placed. That way the figure on the road is appropriately slightly lower than the figures on the flagstone footpath.

Does this make sense?

It's kind of like what I've done with the stompa base in the background of this picture: http://imgur.com/ABdiU4p

I want something like this for most of one of my armies, so I'd be interested in saving some time when I get around to that army.

I know what you mean. I've tried it, but the problem with a laser cutter is that when you do a deep engrve it actually 'burns' the recess. To do what you are after scorches the base and looks a complete mess. You would be better off building the detail up on a plain base with plastic card or 3D print them?

Your pipes on the roof have given me a thought;-
It would be the work of a moment to turn that strip into a strip of sandbags, allowing the buyer to stick several such strips on top of each other to form the edge of a trench or even a bunker. Indeed you could even create the bases for the basic trench line, emplacements, bunkers etc . . . .

I might add that the ideal trench system would be a series of 40 mm wide positions alternating on the front and rear edges of the trench line, each section being able to accommodate two bases with small 'joint' pieces of 45 and 90 degrees to allow the trench system to meander, again ideally with jigsaw style joints to lock the sections together . . .

The vents may be slightly too big for sandbags, although that has given me an idea :)

I have a set of trenches in resin, however I was considering a basic mdf set that people can customise themselves... I'm going to send you a PM in a bit :)

Love the bases dude.

A rectangle paved base, some with rubble. Is exactly what I'm looking for to base my next army!

Cheers!

I might just have some of them cast up in resin in a few weeks time :)

And as soon as you do, I'll start buying!

Any chance on getting some larger bases as well? Something like

Tank Base: 1 1/4" x 1"

Heavy Tank Base: 2" x 1 1/4"

I can't see why not :) Should I do these with the same etched design/rubble effect on them too?

Yep, that's what I'd be after.

Will give the whole army a unified look to it as it fights through a city
