A comms ant or dish would be nice addition.

Or a "harden" version of command bunker

Looks really good. Will be a big chunk of heavy resin. Good to throw at your opponent. :D

Thanks. If it turns out too heavy I could always lay it up as a two-part mold so the interior will be hollow, but I'm hoping I'll be able to re-use some of my scrap resin to fill some of the space in the interior of the piece. After all the casting for the kickstarter I've got lots of sprue gates and overflow to recycle.

I guess that's one of the upsides for the people working in metal - you can just melt down the scraps and cast again!

How about some roof top weapon platform additions for the bunkers, you know so that we could add hydra turrets etc to them if we wanted, and tank turrets for that matter.

...this is an ongoing area of research ;D

(The hydra turret is just a mockup for size purposes - while I'd like to produce my own turrets for something like this, the process is a little more involved and I'd need to come up with something a bit more distinctive from GW)

This one is definitely more of a work in progress. The basic shape still needs some tweaking so it's tall enough for a tank turret to reach over the buttresses in the corners, and I've experimented with some details but haven't found a solution I like yet.

I had thought that these would be most easily cast together with the bunker as one piece, rather than a little top piece on separately-cast bunkers. What are your opinions?

Well that looks exactly the type of thing I was looking for, a platform that we could add any weapon to we wanted.

I'd take them separate as a preference but if they come attached well that won't put me off either

My box came long ago. I am lazy, plus Cold Wars and AdeptiCon were around the corner. Now that they are over.

Let the cleaning begin.

Ooh this is exciting! How much scrubbing did you need to do? You can never tell with resin sometimes.

There are no bubbles, no flash. Beautifully cast. Makes FW look like a pack of monkeys. They are straight and flat no warping. And they are 99% TRUE SQUARE. The days and time I spent correcting FW's bullshit. Then wasteland comes along and can do what FW has been unable to master in what 15 years. FW is FUBAR

I soaked them over night. Tooth brushed with soft scrub. Wash off. I not tried to prime any of the building yet. I travel with my buildings and they take some abuse. I hate reworking/repairing terrain. So I will put the extra effort in to hopefully save me time down the road.

I have spray primed the bunkers with zero cleaning. They took the primer like plastic. It is possible they don't need cleaning.

My experiences echo those above. Soaked and rinsed. Took paint exceedingly well I think. Shape is as said 99%. Wonderful little building blocks. I have to take a photo of a factory building that I go past every day. It has the exact same type of window as the wasteland factory building in my sig below :)

Wasteland=the best terrain I have seen so far.
