Wow, positive comments from Markconz, Jimthewookie AND Volrath! Three of my painting heroes saying nice things about my armies.... play it cool man, play it cool.....

Thanks very much for the kind words guys, really helps keep a chap motivated! You probably spotted the achilles in the background, they're up next and then I've decided no more paint on the fellblade until I finish all the tarantulas and hyperios.... I keep putting them off....

I've been beavering away, finished the achilles and whirlwinds (minus bases) thought I'd post up a shot of everything painted so far, I'm about halfway through the contingent although had an unexpected disaster trying to prime my castellum stronghold yesterday with my AP metal spray going all blobby and weird, which happened as the paint dried, so unfortunately I'd done all 8 sections before realising :-[ due to the chunky size of them, I'm having to soak them one at a time in dettol to get the primer off :{[]

I think the lesson learned is not to prime large, flat and very smooth surfaces with army painter metallic primers, seems to be a surface tension issue and the paint itself seems denser and more pigment heavy than the others which may be due to the larger grain size of the pigment

anyway, I'll cheer myself up with a pic of my progress:

Stunning Kyuss, one of the best looking forces on here mate. Great colour scheme, and perfectly executed.

What rules do you use for the Thunderfire ones?

Check out the Imperial Fists army (link in my sig) both the standalone cannons and achilles have the same stats for the thunderfire (60cm AP4+/AT6+ disrupt OR ignore cover)

Lovely lot - already saw them on facebook. One question: Are the models made from pewter or resin?

Cheers,
Gemana
