It would require multiple parts and on a model this size, thats not a good idea.

I have a few ideas that blend the 2 designs - I will post them later today.

I prefer the straight up surf board one I think.

I like what you did with the jet bikes. They came in two pieces that you can stick together so it makes a cross profile. The danger with the surfers is that you end up with a huge x axis sail and a tiny, hardly noticeable Y axis surf board. I prefer the second, simpler surfer.

My suggestion is to go modular - 2 different surf board people mounted on surf boards and a sail and a spike that can be glued on to suit tastes accordingly. This way you could make surfer with no sail or spike, surfer with sail and spike, surfer with just spike or just sail or even mix and match within a unit e.g. one surfer with 2 spikes and 1 with none.

Nice to see more stygians in the pipeline - they are my favourite range!

Dave

Some more refinement to the design of the Vampire:

Image

Integrated the gun into the underside of the hull - adjusted the sail so the rider looks more natural riding the board, and can actually see over the sail. I also removed some of the sail supports - makes it look sleeker, and makes the surface big enough to paint a cool design on it if you are so inclined.

Image
-Actual size-

With this design, I can see the rider soaring across the battlefield, manipulating the sail to do all sorts of crazy manoeuvres, dodging incoming fire, and using the under-slung blade to cut down their prey.

Thoughts?

I won't buy, so feel free to discard this, but I do think that the dramatic maneuverability intended should be a part of the mini. As is I see more of a calm water newbie, than a reckless galeforce pro. Twist the sail, make the little guy lean wickedly...

How about projecting just a wee bit of a muzzle beyond the board's prow? That there is a weapon beneath is not evident. The semi-crouched/leaning forward thing is also essential. Great stuff!

I prefer the first version to be honest, but I do also really like the second one (the surf board) as well.

Not so keen on the latest version tbh.

The first one feels like she could be sweeping in for a vicious attack, the latest one looks far more like shes catching some surf before stopping off at the beach bar for a papaya margarita!

I really like the new one, though agree about the dynamic posing.

I shall be adding these to my future shopping list...

Too silly for me.
The gliders from Marvel's Green Goblin and Hobgoblin are better.
