@ Whiskeyjack, actually with the canopy i overdid the highlight so had to tone it down a bit which gave it the finish you see so it turned out alright in the end.

Canopy painted in chosen colour then i used a much lighter shade to draw a border in the corner which i then sort of drybrushed within, to much as it happened. Bit hard to explain. This turned out to be to big a contrast so i went over the highlight again with a watered down version of the original window colour. Hope you get what i mean. :)

Got these this morning after paying the import VAT £52 of course. :(

Must say i'm very excited by these pieces they are even better that FW's old epic buildings. Really happy that i supported this kickstarter and would definately support another from this company in the future. :)

These are indeed lovely little things. And yes, the overseas VAT and customs really inhibits hobby investments. The more stuff that becomes stocked by EU stores, the better.

@ yorkie, one of the advantages of being single mate is no wife to berate me over hobby spending. :D

@ Nitpick, i agree VAT and shipping are prohibitive and an EU stockist would be great, still i couldn't wait for such an eventuality and just dived in. :)

Need some warmer weather to varnish my finished tanks, we have frost on the ground here at lunch time. Bloody climate is holding up production.
