We just seeing round 3 coming to an end.

During lunch break Nick Alder was unlucky enough to claim Pyrköl's 'Lucky Charm' prize for currently being last place which brought enough luck back to him for a 4-0 win with his Blood Angels.

Unfortunately Carlos had to drop-out during lunch break and the TO had to step in with his Death Korps of Hoth list.
While only managing a draw in round 3, he taught Mark W and his Speed Freeks to repsect Baneblades.

Eluded me.

In only one game did I end up with more models than fingers on a hand...and I'm not counting the thumb as a finger.


Big thanks to Florian for running this! A great first tournament for me.

I want to thank Nick for teaching me very early that actually fighting anyone's formations was a foolish idea and I'm better off hiding and then grabbing objectives at the end of turn 3.

Which I then was unable to put into action against Chris' Siege Masters who picked me apart until I had not a single model left on the board.

I want to apologise to my third opponent as I have forgotten his name, but I have not forgotten his seeing an opportunity and taking ahold of a single play mistake (Vulture 1cm too close to an Air Cav Company) to reverse the momentum of the game in a single activation, kudos sir, your Warp Spiders will be added to my list exterminatus targets.

Finally huge respect to Charles, taking the early setbacks (4 vultures fire at the Revenant Titan in turn 1, 1st activation, 4 hellstrike hits, holofield saves of 4...2...1...and...1) and coming back to drive all before him as chaff on the wind (or should that be waves?) as his Wave Serpent mounted Black Guardians engaged and annihilated first my Valk+Scouts then on to my BTS Air Cav Company...7 (or was it kills before we even got to resolution rolls then blowing up one Vulture to deny me Take and Hold AND to regain Hold the Line in the final turn.

In general I hope I didn't annoy anyone too much with my making of explosion sound effects for my crashing and burning skimmers and their guardsmen occupants.

I shall be as the dwarves of old and shave my beard in shame...
