Are you kidding me? That's some cool concepts, but--and I do sincerely apologize--I'm not confident it will translate well into 6mm. 10mm maybe, 15mm for sure.

But, I am a fan of most of the 6mm stuff so far, so I'll wait and see how this goes and hope for the best.

Hi!

Nice! The concept art was pretty cool. Be nice to see how faithful to them they came out.

The sculptor actually just finished these, so they will probably come out in the first few months of next year.

Note to self, finish lizardmen by early next year. Are the animals scewing on the 8-10mm side and the pygmies going on the small side? I can not wait to see these next year.

@splash
I hear what you are saying, and to some degree, you are absolutely right, there is no way that the detail of the drawings can really be captured in the sculpts, at least not at a sculpting price that makes any business sense. Having already seen the sculpts, as with any set of releases, some are obviously better than others. Once I get them in the mail I will take some preview shots.

I have been mulling over releasing some 15mm fantasy packs since I already have so much concept art, but my 6mm schedule is pretty full at the moment, so I have no idea when I would actually put 15mm stuff out. Also, its a hell of a lot more expensive than 6mm to get sculpted!

@doom
Knowing the sculptor's style, I'm sure a majority of the animals will be closer to the 8mm side.

Something else I'm thinking, is it would be fairly easy to replace/modified their weapons with ranged type weapons and these boys could be used for 6mm Sci-fi ... :geek

A preview bonanza! I would take pics of the demons too, but grey stuff is a hell of a lot harder to photograph than green stuff:

Below is the Great Dingonek, his claws are separate for casting purposes:

Overall I think it will be a pretty nice release. I have to say my favorites are the Emela Ntouka (the horned guy), the Dingonek, the orangutans, and the gorillas. The rhinos...IO think the cowl looked better in hedrawings and was harder to execute in this scale.

I wasn't sure about some of these at the start, but my god, they are beautiful!

I thought the rhinos look exactly like the guards in Disneys robin hood! I think they are the best, followed by the Great Dingonek! Which is funny, as they were the two drawings I thought least off at the start!

I agree with Rex. I love the Rhinos and the Dingonek.

What is the big dino in the last picture?

The dino-looking guy is based off of the African myth of the Emela Ntouka:

Supposed to be a rhino-looking thing with a tail, I figured it would make a cool mount for the army.

Really cool, love the sword and shield gorilla, elephants look good(I hope they stack up well against the ogres). Rhinos might be on the small side for my current plans but they look really good(I will stay far away from the Robin Hood schemes though), I might just end up changing my plans.
