Btw Florian - did Chris B submit his list finally? If not, given he's borrowing a bunch of my stuff i can confirm he's taking the following:

Guardians 150pts
Rangers 100pts
Falcons 250pts
Night Spinners 175pts
Warp Spiders + Exarch 325pts

Surely he needs a War Engine?

It's not a half bad list at all surprisingly - warp spiders are pretty nasty at this points level, just a shame they can't garrison!

MrGonzo, what's the VP penalty for late submission like Chris has done? And is there an extra VP penalty for then changing it after seeing what the metagame is?

In mitigation I had to make a plea in person last night to hand it in last night and have to turn up early with some trees and masking tape...

Might he not want to be Ulthwe?

Guardians 175
Rangers 100
Falcons 250
Night spinners 175
Warp spiders + Exarch 275

And either another ranger or spirit stones for the falcons and get strategy rating 5?

I think it's useful to point out some times when people are being pricks.*

*which reminds me why I dropped out of tourney gaming in the first place

None of you need to worry. I'll clog the guns of whomever I face in the first round with bodies of guardsmen so they won't be able to fire when they eventually face you in later rounds.

4 x IG (inc MrG)
3 x Eld
1 x Tau, Orks, BAs and Knights

You can add my Orks to that list, plus I think there's 2 other Sm players. So looking like a better mix this year! :D

I'm just trying to do the right thing, as far as I'm concerned my list is not "cheesy" or "gamey" in the slightest and I don't like to hear that, in fact I think it's subpar and there are plenty more exploitative lists. I only picked it because I thought it was a bit different. But it seems to have put some noses out of joint and that's the last thing I want to do, it's not my style. I just want to bring my toy soldiers, play some fun games and hopefully not embarrass myself too badly (maybe do better than last year!), so I thought changing my list might help make sure my opponents play with good humour. I guess people wouldn't be happy with that either tho :/

Kyrt, My comment was just a bit of banter, as far as I'm concerned please feel free to bring any list and have fun ;)
(sometimes banter doesn't come over on forums)

As Richard L said minigeddon is supposed to be less serious ;)
I think people can be cool with Kyrt changing his list if it's for the reasons he stated?

It is a silly game at the best of times, I thinking shrinking it isn't meant to provoke deep soul searching but throw away games :)

Edit
And I am all for you changing your list to one with 2 un-void and holo shielded war engines....

Looking at the Eldar Titan list we are lucky there aren't 3 revenants bearing down on us :)
