Having just taken a look at the Fir Iolarion list, the only disputable thing about it is the Sonic Lance. Sonic Lance 45cm 2 BP, Disrupt, Ignore Cover, Lance. Really? All of those? Disrupt, Ignore Cover, Lance? I mean Revenants carry two of these so that's 2 templates at 4+/5+ with disrupt AND IC AND Lance. Really? lol

Yeah but it's that or 4x 3+ macro. Revenants are doubling more often than not so you're talking 6+ to hit vehicles and 5+ infantry. It's only really going to be better against something like guard infantry bunched together in cover.

Nah two of them would give 4bp if they are 2bp each. 3+/4+ sustained, 4+/5+ advance, 5+6+ double.

Yeah, I'm not losing sleep over them, just seem slightly OTT (although they forgot Indirect too!)

I'm bringing Ghazies Orks, haven't played for a while, just wondering do I still get the free Warlord in minigeddon? Can't see anything in the rules, I thought that maybe as other lists limit free units (avatar, commissars...) The free supreme commander might get the axe.

Good question. I don't think we've ever come across that one. Seems a bit too good a freebie for 1k points in my opinion.

No loss of Warboss according to the rules, however Eldar to lose their Avatar, and Guard have 2 commissars.

The free Warlord is part of the deal (for the time being). :)

Apart from the insane guns, I think there's also an issue with these being better and 25 pts cheaper than the standard Minigeddon option of taking a revenant. And you get 2 of them.

Happy to see how they do before calling cheese but...
