I almost went with tau, I wanted to really I did, I just couldn't really come up with a list I was happy with at short notice that was also already 100% painted.

I went for Fir Iolarion instead ;)

Net-EA Developmental and Experimental lists are being allowed? Yikes! Some of them are... rather unbalanced.

Fir Iolarion will be just 2 Revenants going solo + some infantry or wraithlords. Not that scary or weird really.

Yes, anything in the compendium that doesn't have an equivalent EpicUK list. TBH I'd be happy to bring something else but I wouldn't have picked a developmental one if I thought it was a great list. Mine is really not - revenants only have 3 DC, and I expect an engagement meta at the event.

There is definitely the possibility of seeing some questionable armies used though.

Exactly, mine is basically 2 single revs and 2 weak infantry formations.

To a degree it's less of an issue in minigeddon as it's quite easy to lose the game on a failed initiative roll anyway given the number of activations both players have.

I do recall though that there was surprise at what could be wrong with allowing AMTL last year until i'd pointed out that 18 macro shots on turn 1 from 3 warhounds isn't very nice...

Still, we'll find out if it's broken as buggery or not at the weekend i guess ;) At least you didn't go for the 3 revenant list! Especially with the horrible alternate weapons they have (4bp ignore cover, disrupt, lance... Really? Just IF missing for a full house on that one...)

I'm bringing Knightworld. The 2.2 list that was developed after I stopped being the army champion. It's solid but it can only really do one thing. 2 fms of 3 Errants (the short ranged MW ones), 1 fm of 3 Castellans (the shooty ones). After not playing for a year I don't think I could handle an finicky eldar list.

Yeah but if you recall, the CLWC guys had not realised that it had been upgunned and tested the "regular" warhound.

Hmm, now I'm worried in case you are right though. I deliberately didn't choose 3 revenants, and I went for one of each type (pulse vs sonic) as I thought this was more "themey". Overall I didn't really think it looked *that* good a list, I picked it because I love the revenants, I don't use them often enough, and thought it'd be a bit different. Last year there were lots of eldar lists very similar - including 2 that I played against that were identical but for the number of heavy weapons in the guardian formation...

But I don't want to use a list that people think is unfair, I'd rather take no-hoper battlesuit-themed Tau list in that case :)

This is the titan one anyway:

revenant, 2x pulse laser
revenant, 2x sonic lance
6 rangers
5 jetbikes, 1 vyper

What do you think?

I'm bringing Ghazies Orks, haven't played for a while, just wondering do I still get the free Warlord in minigeddon? Can't see anything in the rules, I thought that maybe as other lists limit free units (avatar, commissars...) The free supreme commander might get the axe.

I'm running with:

Battlesuits w.gun drones
Fire Warriors (6 with devilfish)
Tetras
Broadsides

Wouldn't worry about the Eldar Titan list, if it's allowed then run with it and see how it gets on - it'll be useful for Florian if nothing else to know how developmental lists stack up to the approved and E-UK lists for next year.

I think the biggest issue on the warhound front wasn't even the upgunning per-se, more that they weren't taking advantage of the weapons loadouts (as the base warhound one isn't really all that by comparison)

Plus when you've only got 4 formations having 3 of them nuked by alpha strike slow firing macro is a big deal :)
