So it's time to start in on the first module for the Skitarii list. I think that since the AdMech lists focus on the Gryphonne IV forgeworld, it's fitting that the defensive operations module centers on the Nid invasion there.
To start out, here's how this works: This module swaps out the Skitarii Support Formations and Mechanicus Allies sections of the Skitarii list for a themed support and allies section based on the defense of the Gryphonne IV forgeworld during the nid invasion.
This thread is for us to hash out exactly what goes in those sections that fits thematically with the defense of Gryphonne IV. Initially this is brainstorming and nothing gets ruled out. The goal is to block in a set of options such as defensive structures or specific units that played a key role in the battle.
From there we'll work out stats and decided on which ones we want to include as we prepare the module for testing.
Let me know if you have any questions or thoughts.
Thanks!

Heres my ideas:
1. Have an interchangeable objective (like a warp gate/tomb complex) called somethin like a Shield generator that offers an Inv save for all Admech troops within 15cm.
2. A high tech defence line that offers both a 4+ save and an Inv save to Inf in it. This would again represent funky energy shields that the AdMech could have.
3. Include immobile WE defence lasers fwith a MW3+/AA4+ or something.
I do see theese things as a natural part of the standrad skitarii list and don't see why it has to be a module. Thats just complicating things IMO. But we've discussed that and will never agree...

^these are good^ Reminds me a bit on Speaker2Machines AdMech fan list.
It seems natural that it would be one of the enemy objectives, no? Something you have to take, not ignore.
Would a concept somehow that gave an army ability that takes the place of the t&h objectives until captured / destroyed by the opponent work?

There's a fluff piece that was in the Nid codex a while back and some newer versions of that floating around as well. I think there's some other small bits that are mentioned in some of the FW books too.

Well, Praetorians are specifically mentioned in the fluff so I think they should still be in the module. Ostensibly robots would as well, but I don't think we need to include them here so we have room for other options.
I think the AA should only come from the ground here so no avengers. Buttoned up siege mode.
Do we think Knights might show up?
How about limiting the allies to just titans and increasing the cap to 50%?

Stress testing with the nastiest list possible is great, I'm not convinced at tailoring the opponent to suit too. Air assault SM are a good list, 3 formations of night wings is nor optimal in a 3k list. Play them and nightwings/Eldar are OTT thunder hawks are rubbish
