As someone who is moving house and losing his garage.... and gaining a shed... this makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside :) What size did you opt for? I'm guessing at 8' wide, what's the length?

I've been eyeballing 12 x 8 as the max size I think I can squeeze into the new garden (though my father in law seems to think I could probably get 12 x 10 in, that may change when he realises he's paying for it!..) and unfortunately it does have to double up as somewhere to store my bike and tools etc. but a fair chunk of it will be given over to hobby pursuits... doubt I'll carpet it though :D

Hey Enri,

It is 5.5m by 2.5m, so 18ft by 8ft approximately. I would have like to gone wider but it would have stuck out into the garden to much. It is a PremiumPlus Modetro from a company called Dunster House. I paid extra for the double thickness logs and floor insulation to help keep things warm and dry. Given I have lots of Magic cards (in the long white boxes) I was willing to pay extra to reduce any chance of dampness.
It was actually quite fun to build, but at this size it is definitely a two man job and takes a couple of days, and you need to make sure you have a flat solid base down beforehand.

Given the my wife's day job involves castration I don't think that would have been a good idea ;)

I realise you've not had it all that long and not through different seasons, but you're probably done some research: what are your expectations for temperature regulation. Looks like you've got one heater in there so I assume that make it fine in winter, what about during the summer. When I had a shed it was blisteringly hot inside but then it basically wasn't insulated. Are the walls and roof insulated, or just thicker wood?

Holy hell, 18' long... wish I had the space for that monster :)

Thanks for the heads up on the company you bought from, just seen they're in Bedford.. and funnily enough, me and my father in law were looking for local places just yesterday (I'm in MK), so I'll check those guys out :)
