Any kind of proxies for space marine landspeeders? Thinking of building up a vanguard list, but proper, reasonably priced landspeeders are a bit hard to come by.

Hi!

That may be a tough one.

While I have seen lots of bikes/trikes and skimmers, I haven't seen one that fits nicely as a landspeeder. :(

I recently purchased some miniatures from Onslaught Minis, Dark Star Games and Plasmablast. Here are some pics from Onslaught and Dark Star shown next to Epic Rhino (Plastic 40k and Metal EA) and a plastic Land Raider.

I saw a thread that already compared Plasmablast Marhaf Legion. If requested, I can post a comparison next to the same Rhinos and Land Raiders when they arrive this week. I ordered just one of each for now. I look forward to the next release of Marhaf, with wheeled vehicles, scout bikes and transports.

1. GW Plastic Rhino
2. Onslaught Miniatures Sisterhood Atropos Rocket Tank (not assembled in picture)
3. GW Metal Rhino - Armageddon
4. Dark Star Games - Federation Talin Wheeled IFV
5. Dark Star Games - Venturian Kh'Lrian (West Sky) IFV
6. GW Plastic Land Raider
7. Dark Star Games - Federation Scorpion Wheeled LACV

Those could work well IMO ... I've even thought about mounting the Javelin on top of the Lance ...

So, given the relative expense and scarcity of Squat Hellbores and Moles, I have been looking for a good proxy. I saw the Vorkuta Land Drill from Dystopian Wars and managed to snag a couple from an online sale.
They arrived the other day and are a little larger than I'd imagined... :D
The base measures 60mm x 73mm.
Should still be ok for a Hellbore, but I might have to find something smaller for a Mole.
Thought I would post a pic in case anyone else is looking at them too.

My moles: Exodus Wars drills, from the Kazhari drilling machine (the spider-like thing), or go to a hardware store and get big plastic screws.

It is pretty big, but probably more in scale, I think it looks the part!
